AN EQUALIZATION
PROGRAM FOR
JACK COUNTY
After careful consideration and
study, tax entities within Jack County
including Jack County, the City of
Jacksboro and Jacksboro I.S.D., have
employed Southwestern Appraisal
Company to make an equalization
study of all property in Jack County.
Why is this necessary? Well, for
years, property values have been
changing drastically. These changes
have resulted in an unequal property
tax base and the only way to correct
these inequities is to have all the
properties appraised. When
Southwestern Appraisal has finished
the equalization study, the governing
bodies of all the tax entities will be
able to implement uniform and equal
assessments for all property.
Our field appraisers will be calling
i you to ask permission to inspect
ur property and we reapectfully
request your cooperation. After all,
^^ne?ste&huS
and School Board, to make sure
there's a more equal sharing of the
cost of local government.
