Correspondents of newspapers
sometimes feel hart with the edit*
ore for cutting out parts qf the let-
ters sent in, but if they knew how
much matter is written by those
same editors and then “killed’' be-
fore it is put in type, they woulc
see that the average careful editor
“blue pencils” his own work as
much or more than he does that of
his correspondents—Bridgeport

Let us not abuse our legislators.
We have persistently voted down
every constitutional amendment
offering to increase the pay of the
legislator, which would induce
more able men to run for office.
You can not expect very much
from men who get less than sec-
ond grade school teachers. It is
sometimes very expensive to hire a
cheap man.
In any town where the majority
of its citizens are home owners,
you will find pretty homes and
happy satisfied people. They are
always on the alert for the best in-
terest of the town and its moral
welfare—Chico Review.
An emphatic fact. The same
applies to the home in the country
We dreed (6 see the day when a
great portion of our population
will be renters as in older states
and countries. Better be in debt

so out of the ordinary that we
cann’t help but speak of it. We
believe that about everything is
sold here by home people that cit
izens of this county have need of.
But still there is a lot of tarveling
fakirs and some houest men go
through the country and drain it of
its casb. They know whereto go just
like the vultres and when they see
a country in prosperous condition
they jump on it. Let’s do what

If crops are handled right wont
take much more moisture to ma-

Your advice in the matter of
cleaning out rats was opportnne if
all have been as successful in catch-
ing them as we have the Tat family
will soon go out of business as a
last resort we might repeal the ex-
clusion act. Bless, me would’nt
John Chinese live sumptuously
many days.
Now, my brother, don’t let up,
go after the rats for they will soon
leave the cribs for the more tooth-
some young chicken and then there
will be trouble sure enough.
Miss Anna Klum’s school at
Mountain Home or Stradley school
closed last week and she spent her
holidays visiting Mrs. I. Stoddard
would like to know how many
joys and girls will use their spare
time in studying during vacation.
! lemember some of you will have
6 or 7 months out of the school
room. Better use the spare time.
Some of you may wait for some-
thing to turn up—just as well go
to the cow lot and sit down with a
nicket in front of you and wait for
old Spot to back up to be milked.
Don’t wait, just roll up your
sleeves, go to work and do some-
thing, then you will come out al-
right.
Bro. Bob, right glad am I that
you have a Sunday school in Long
Hollow apd also on West Salt
creek. Now, if Dark Corner,
Newhope, Park Spring and Cente-
Point will get into line we will
have Commissioners Dist. No. 3 in
good shape. Remember it takes
grace, grlt and^hib money to’ run
a Sunday school successfully. All
working together for the Master
you will succeed. Yes, it is ipuch
better than visiting on the Lord’s
Day. Nat.

A Receipt for Curing Catarrh.
So many people suffer from ca-
tarrh that this receipt which has
beeu widely used with success is
worth trying.
Authorities claim that catarrh
never can be thoroughly cured ex-
cept by an internal treatment that
will thoroughly cleanse the system
and build us the general heatth.
That is what this vegetable mix-
ture does. The dose is one tea-
spoonful after each meal and at bed
time. The recipe is as follows:
Fluid Extract of Dandelion, one-
half ounce; Syrup Burdock, one
and one-half ounces. Fluid Jubursi
Compound, one ounce; Syrup of
Sarsaparilla Compound, three
ounces.
These are vegatable remedies
that act on the liver and kidneys
and. which have a tendency to ex
pel all poisonous or irritating waste
matter from the system. The re-
cipe is valuable not only as a cure
for catarrh but as a blood purifier
apd general system or spring tonic.
Have it pat up and try it.
