Funeral services were held
March 2 at Perrin Methodist
Church for Fred Harrison,
who died in a Mineral Wells
Rest Home. Burial was in
Perrin Memorial Gardens.
Funeral services were held
March 3 in Bryson for Emmit
Glidwell Sr. He died in Jack
County Hospital. He was the
father of Emmit Glidwell of
Perrin. Mr. and Mrs. Heath
Cranford, Mr. and Mrs. Audie
Thompson, Rev. and Mrs.
Larry Hannah, Mr. and Mrs.
Ette Scudder, Mrs. Leva May
Woods, Mrs. Bea Hutton,
Mrs. Ernestine Gillisple,
Mrs. Lois Johnson, attended
the services.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Nun-
ley of Olney are in Hamilton
Longhorns Thrive
Near Vineyard
"I enjoy the eight long-
horn cattle I own," said Bullet
Christian who owns a thou-
sand acres of ranch land
near Vineyard. His home Is
near Vineyard on the Fort
Worth road. He has some
grass leased from the Sid
Richardson Scout park. He
has 11,000 acres underlease
for his cattle.
A few years ago Bullet pur-
chased two longhorn cows and
has raised the restof his long-

cattle travel a lot and make
good lead cattle. They are a
big attraction for visitors and
scouts who come to the scout
ranch.
“The longhorns seem to be
a gentle breed now which is
quite a contrast to the wild
longhorn of the past,” he said.

been visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Turner and Irlean.
Mr. and Mrs. James Johns-
ton of Mineral Wells have
been visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Johnston.
Funeral services were held
last week in Graford for Mr.
Huntsucker.
Mr. and Mrs. Everette Ab-
ernathy, Mr. and Mrs. Gene
Hughes attended the Bryson
Musical featuring Bill Mack,
The Journeymen and Jimmy
Gill.
Perrin PTA will be Thurs-
day March 14 at 7:30. The
third and fourth grades will
present the program. Mrs.
Janis Willis and Mrs. Fern
Caudill are in charge.
R. M. (Bullet) Christian looks over his longhorn cattle. He
also runs a three way cross cattle. Black Angus, Hereford
and Charolais. The 1900 pound, six feet high brown and
white longhorn steer to his left is his favorite. The long-
horns run with his other cattle and make good leaders.
