With A Million Dollars?

Most of us will never have to
worry about it, but just for
ton... "What’s the first thing
you would do If someone gave
you a million dollars?"
Becky Johnson said, "First
of all, I would buy abrandnew
sports car--probably a blue
vet. -
"Next, I would buy a lot of
new clothes I
"Then just before I ran out
of money, I would go on a
cruise, and meet a good look-
ing guy!"
Michael Zuber replied, "If
someone gave me a million
dollars, I would use the money
to pay my way through college.
"After college I wouldbuya
law firm and retire a mil-
lionaire I"

dollars, my husband and 1
would use it to make sure oar
children had their education
paid for, if they would take
advantage of getting a good
education.
"Then I would invest
enough money to live on.
I would save it for a rainy
day or an emergency.
"Next, I would divide the

charities.
Miss Diane Womble, bride
elect of Mark Williamson was
honored Saturday afternoon
with a personal shower at the
community room at Jacks-
boro National Bank.
Guest were greeted by
Miss Womble,Mrs. W. W.
Womble , mother of the
bride elect and Mrs. W.A.
Williamson, mother of the
prospective groom.
The yard waa established
in the early 1100’s, when
Henry I of England decided
it should be the distance be-
tween the point of his nose
and the tip of his thumb.

According to a 16th cen-
tury surveyor, the way to
find what a foot stood for
was to line up 16 men, meas-
ure their left feet and take
the average.
The bonoree was attired
in a baby blue knit drees
with whits accessories and
was presented a white car-
nation corsage from the
hostesses. Miss Womble
received lovely assorted gifts
from the guest and a beauti-
ful gown, robe and slipper
set as a gift from the
hostesses.
Refreshments were served
from a table covered with a
lace cloth and centered with
an arrangement of blue and
white flowers followtig the
brides chosen colors.
A most unusual (Bikini)
cake decorated with blue and
white polka dots and made by
Jean Hefner stole the Miow.
Punch, nuts and mints were
also served.
Hosting the shower for
Miss Womble were Laura Wil-
liamson, Glenda Koooce and
Janet Womble.

HAS PLANNED FUTURE-Rosie Lewis, 20, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Burk Lewis, Jr., graduated from Jacksboro High
School in 1972 and this • spring graduated from Ranger
Junior College were she majored in P.E, She has just
returned from the state meet in Canyon where she quali-
fied for national meet in Denton the 16-18 of May. Rosie
has her sites set high and she hopes to attend university of
Texas at Arlington this fall. She plans to work this sum-
mer in Jacksboro to help on her tuition.

Mrs. Bessie Clayton hon-
ored her sister, Mrs. Ruth
Bailey with a dinner on her
birthday, May 2. Other guests
were Mrs. Ermine Young of
Walters, Oklahoma and Mrs.
F. E. Finnic.
Mrs. Ermine Young came
Thursday to visit a few days
with her sister and brother-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Finnie.

I stopped in Bryson Wednes-
day enroute home from Wi-
chita Falls. He visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Johnson and other friends.
Lawrence Simpson was car-
ried by Morrison’s Ambulance
to the Graham General Hospi-
tal Wednesday evening. He had
suffered a light stroke.
Mrs. Hazel Stewart of Wi-
chita Falls brought her
mother, Mrs. Clemmle Har-
ris home Wednesday.

lers of Fayetteville, Ark.

boy, Matthew Cullers. His

new home in Hollis, Okla-
homa, where they will be
employed as the House-
parents at Westview Boys
Home.
Starr Robinson is now em-
ployed as a barber at the
Guaranty Barber Shop in
Graham.

This past week Mrs. Nat
Bush attended a luncheon and
kitchen shower for her daugh-
ter Julianne, bride-elect of
Gerad Betty, in the home of
Mrs. Oscar Calhoun, RL 3,
Azle. Guests present, be-
sides the bonoree and her
mother was Mrs. Earl T.
Betty of Sprlngtown, mother
of the groom, and members of
the Sprlngtown Elementary
faculty where Julie Is pre-
sently employed as a first
grade teacher.
