said property and that said
suit is now pending in the
District Court of Bastrop
County, Texas, 21st
Judicial District, and the
file number of said suit is
No. 4469, that the names
of all taxing units which
assess and collect taxes on
the property hereinabove
described, not made par-
ties to this suit, are
NONE.
Plaintiff and all other
taxing units who may set
up their tax claims herein
seek recovery of
delinquent ad valorem
taxes on the property
hereinabove described,

she got hit on the head by a
pole -- just a mistake, she

fellow brought her a draw-
ing of a ghost crossing a
bridge, saying, “Now, I
am coming to kill you.” It
happened during a Hallo-
ween drawing class, she

prospects of getting one -
it also has lost its medical
clinic and the doctor who
tried to keep it open for
emergencies. Dr. Herbert
Munden has closed his of-
fice and is expected to
move to Corpus Christi....
Meanwhile watch for a
prominent Elgin citizen to
be named to the Bastrop
Memorial Hospital Board
and efforts by Houston
Memorial Hospital System,
which takes over the Bas-
trop hospital next month,
to get some more physicians
to practice in Elgin and use
the Bastrop hospital......
Sandy Ziats is in line to be
named assistant city
secretary at Smithville and
Barbara Dooley may take
over Mrs. Ziats’ old job as
deputy court clerk.......
Arthritis problems have
caused Virginia Dodson
Crump, daughter of Bas-
trop’s late longtime school
superintendent P.J. Dod-
son, to retire reluctantly
from her administrator’s
post at Baylor University...
Dance hall and tavern op-
erators are complaining
that business is off, either
due to the economy or a
change in the seasons....
Bastrop merchants are
talking about a concerted

and Toni Kesselus are back
from Hawaii, a trip aided
by gifts from Ken’s con-
gregation at Calvary Epis-
copal. The gifts from
Bastrop made possible a
trip to the Outer Islands
(away from Oahu) “which
proved to be the real high-
light of our trip,” said
Ken.....Watch for an article
by Bob Parvin of River-
woods Acres, about the
historic Emporium (once
called Union Hall) in Texas
Highways magazine,
probably in the December
issue.....Is a 1983 Auto
and Truck Show coming to

Bastrop’s historic Casino
where parties and a school,

governor, U.S. senator or

sioner would be exciting
folks the most but for some
reason the lieutenant

seems to be drawing the
most fire. Both incumbent
Bill Hobby and Republican
challenger George Strake
