Veterans Day gathering
Four of six Hodges family members and their spouses met on
Sunday, Veterans Day afternoon, to admire the artistry of Marianne
Caroselli of Fair Oaks Ranch who created "Freedom Is Not Free *
The bronze sculpture with three soldiers figures backed by a flag
was commissioned by the family in honor of their parents. Oliver
and Alma Hodges, and installed November 5 at the Hemphill
County Veterans Memorial Monument Pictured at left are (l-r) Don
ami Freddie Hodges of Dallas. Janice und Robert Hodges of Ama-
rillo. Theresia and Bill Hodges of Canadian, und Mary Lee and
Robert McCuffree of Amarillo Above. Caroselli holds a miniature of
the piece, an exact replica down to the tiniest detail and an open
edition, one of which can be seen, and is available for sale, at the
Wmton Academy of An on Canadian s Histone Main Street
