Directors have been selling door
prize tickets and meal tickets to the
popular event for several weeks
now. This year there is a change in
the location of the Wild Game Sup-
per. It will be held at the Reagan
County 4-H center and the big tent
will be used again this year to ac-
commodate the crowd.

Numerous rifles, shotguns,
bowhunting sets, hunting gear and
camping equipment will be given
away in a drawing that will be ongo-
ing as the meals are being served.
Lucky hunters from all over the
state cashed in on prizes last year
and directors expect the same en-
thusiasm this year.

tors have several thousand tickets
for meals and prizes and they are
currently selling the tickets to the
general public. Tickets are still
available and the public can pur-
chase door prize tickets from Shots,

Value, WTU, and from directors.
The circus type tent will be
erected at the 4-H Center for the
crowd. Enough seating will be
available for up to 2,000 persons.
There will be an exhibit of
mounted game trophies along with
an exhibit of door prizes to be given
away to lucky winners.
Proceeds from the event will go
to benefit Reagan County Youth.

given to any particular group or or-
ganization. Directors for 1997 are
Bill Strauss, Johnnie Gay, Sherri
Gay, Stormy Dunn, Cindy
Weatherby, Billy Dunn, Jeff
Weatherby, and Jonathan Murray.

Here's an interesting story con-
cerning computer problems that
came via Internet:
"Howmay Ihelpyou?"asked the
consumer service technician.
"Yes, well I'm having trouble with
WordPerfect."
"What sort of trouble?"
"Well I was just typing along,
and all of a sudden the words went
away."
"Went away?"
"They disappeared."
"Hmm, so what does your screen
look like now?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"It's blank, it won't accept any-
thing when I type."
"Are you still in WordPerfect or
did you get out?"
"How can I tell?"
"Can you see the C:\ prompted
on the screen?"
"What's a sea-prompt?"
"Nevermind. Can you move the
cursor. I told you, it won't accept
anything I type."
"Does you monitor have a power
indicator?"
"What's a monitor?"
"It's the thing with the screen on
it that looks like a TV. Does it have
a little light that tells you when it's
on?"
"I don't know."
"Well then, look on the back of
the monitor and find where the power
cord goes into it. Can you see that?"
..."Yes, I think so."
"Great! Follow the cord to the
plug, and tell me if it’s plugged into
the wall."
..."Yes, it is."
"Now tell me if the other cable
coming out of the monitor is plugged
into the back of your computer."
"I can't reach it."
"Uhhuh. Well, can you see if it
is?"
"No."
"Maybe if you get down on a
knee and get another angle, can you
see it?"
"Oh, it’s not because I don't have
the right angle- - it's because it's
dark."
"Dark?"
"Yes— the office light is off, and
the only light I have is coming in
from the window."
"Well, turn on the office light
then."
"I can't."
"No? Why not?"
"Because there's a power out-
age."
"A power.. .a power outage? Aha!
Ok, we've got it licked now. Do you
still have the boxes and manuals and
packing stuff your computer came
in?"
"Well, yes. I keep them in the
closet."
"Good! Go get them, and unplug
your system and pack it up just like
it was when you got it. Then take it
back to the store you bought it from."
"Really. Is it that bad?"
"Yes, I'm afraid it is."
"Well, all right then, I suppose.
What do I tell them?"
"Tell them you're too stupid to
own a computer."
