Pear dr, Lytton:
T should like to commend the Texas Li-diwny Department and the people of Bexar
and Pandora Counties for the plans that have been completed for the construc-
tion of
/
As a property owner in the Handera area, , I can assure you that the people of
Handera and fan Antonio want very much to see this new highway constructed.
T might add that it is very cm! Brassing to us in San Antonio to have a citizen
of San Antonio attend a nub lie hearing in ah adjoining county to try tq ficht
the construction of a much needed highway. It is bad enough for us to have to
fipht our own people in our efforts to ret much needed highway projects under-
way in San Antonio.
It is really the last straw when a San Antonio citizen will go into an adjoin-
in'-; county to try to block highway construction work. I just want you to know
that we favor tTie construction of S.il. 16 and apologize for the actions of
some of our citizens who do not want to sec highways constructed or anything
changed.
Very truly yours,
JOHJT. STEEN
