Daniel P. Sparks, hy making publication of this j
Writ, in tue "Indianola Coujuer,”« Newspaper i
published in said county of Calhoun, for four ;
successive weeks previous to the return day
hereof, to be and appear at the next term of
the Honorable District Court, for the county of
Calhoun, to be holden a t the Court House in the
City of Indianola, on the thirteenth Monday af-
terthe third Monday in August, 1859. then and
there to answer the said petitiou of the said F.
W. Knapp. Herein fail not.

To the Sheriff of Calhoun Couniy, Greeting:
WHEREAS, A. D. Beaty has Sled his petitiou
11 in the District Court, of said county of'Cai-
lioun, against G. B. Dycus and H. R. Hopso.t, in
wliidi said petition it is alleged that the said
Dycus A; Hopson is justly indebted to petitioner
in the sum of three hundred and eighty-two
45 | 100th dollars lor goods, wears »nd merciian-
dise soid and advanced to the said Dycus, at his
special instance and request, and for money paid
and expended (a bill of which, is to said peti-
tion attached, aud made a part thereol). Peti-
tioner further alleges, that at the time the said delit
occurred, the said Hopson was a secret partner
of the said Dycu?, and that the goods and mer-
chandise so sold, and the money s<> advanced and
expended, the goods were so sold, and the mon-
ey so advanced lor the benefit of said partner-
ship.
Wherefore petitioner prays judgment fer the
said amount of three hundred and eighty-two

To the SJteriff or any other Lawful Officer of Cal-
houn county— Greeting ;
U! HEREAS, Janies Chain, by his attorney, D.
7 E. Crosland. has this day filed in my office,
an open aceouut against John Chain, showinc in-
debtedness in the sum of One Hundred Dol-
lars 7 aud affidavit having been also made that
the defendant, John Chain, is absent from this
State, so that the ordinary process of law can-
not be served upon him ;
You are, therefore, hereby commanded to cite
the said John Chain, by publication of this writ
in a newspaper published in the Cicy of Indian-
ola, in Calhoun county,for three successive weeks
previous to return day hereof, to be and appear
before me, at the Court House, in the City of In-
dianola. county aforesaid, on the first Saturday
in November. A. D. 1859, it being the 5th day of
said month, then ar.d there to answer the com-
plaint of James Chain.
Herein fail not, but make due return of this
writ, as the law directs.
Given under my band, this 3d day
