The Autumn Indoor Picnic and
Bazaar given by the Ladies’ Al-
tar Society of the Catholic church
at the home of Mrs. J. E. Cooke
last Wednesday was in every re-

POPULARITY CONTEST
A

1 neater \s ill be allowed to run or vote in this contest.
Soliciting votes in and around the theater will not lie per-
mitted. I he Rockdale Reporter will publish a correct
list oi candidates and their standing each week, and will
also publish a coupon each week good for five votes when
clipped and deposited in ballot box before expiration
date; these coupons will be Lee to those who may clip
them from the paper.
A ticket w.ll be given with each paid admission to the
D'xie, and this ticket will bear a space wherein you may
write the name of the young lady you wish to vote for.
Contest begins Wednesday. November 25th, and closes
January 1st. A locked iron ballot box will be placed near
the ticket window, and after writing the name of your
favorite on your tickets they may be placed in this box.
Responsible disinterested parties will count the ballots

the picture screen at night, and will also be published in

those on the special tickets purchased and the free news-
paper coupons.

days.” and will be the proper time to nominate your
candidate. Just write her name on n slip of paper and
drop it in the ballot box at The Dixie window. The real
race will begin Wednesday. Nov. 25. Get busy; nomi-
nate your girl and go to voting.

Daughter" Monday. This won-
derful photoplay was in seven
reels, and showed Annette Kel-
lerman, "the perfect woman,"
and constituted the most artistic
production Rockdale theater
goers have ever seen here, Man-
ager lxmg is to be congratulated
for giving his patrons this pic-
ture. He informs us that he
broke even on the expense of
producing, which was all he ex-
pected to do. The owners of the
film demanded and received the
lion’s share of the receipt!, and
would not consent to a less ad-
mission price than 25c,
