What is Your Opinion?
We think a business man is
mighty mean who will allow the
newspaper of his town to work
year in and year out, to build up
its business and that of his
neighbors by bringing trade to
the town, speaking well of its
institutions and encouraging peo-
ple to come there to live or at
least to do their trading there,
and yet refuse or fail to do any-
thing for the support of these
; same newspapers. And when
; they want stationery for their
business send it off to some city
because they can save a few
cents. They simply take advant-
age of all the advertising they
e&n get and give nothing in re-
turn. We presume they call:
themselves public spirited citi-!
zens, but they are anything but
that. They are always ready to
take advantage of the trade that
other men bring to town through
advertisements, circulars, etc.,!
but they do nothing of the kind |
themselves. They may possibly
get to heaven, finally, but if so
it will be because salvation is
free.
I’ll stop your pain free. To show

Found i Cabbage Snake.
While Mrs. L. N. Tidwell was
preparing cabbage for dinner one
day last week, she discovered
something while about ten inches
long and about the thickness of
a piece of twine, or hardly so
thick. She called Mr. Tidwell
and showed him what she had
found. It was then decided that
it was a cabbage snake. It was
i brought to town and is now on
exhibition at Miller’s drug store.
