CATARRH MADE LIFE
A BURDEN TO ME.
KRISS ANNIE CATRON, 907 Slain
*”* St, Cincinnati. Ohio, writes:
“As I have found Peruna a blessing
for a severe case of catai’rlf oTTBe*ht,aij.
and throat which I suffered from for a
number of years, I am only too pleased
to give it my personal endorsement.
“Catarrh, such as I suffered from,
made life a burden to me, my breath
warn offensive, stomach bad, and my
head stopped up so that I was usually
troubled with a headache, and although
1 tried many so-called remedies, noth-
ing gave me permanent relief. I was
rather discouraged with all medicines
when Peruna was suggested to me.
“However, I did buy a bottle, and be-
fore that was finished there w;is a
marked change .n my condition. Much
encouraged 1 kept on Until I was com-
pletely cured in a month’s time, and I
find that my general health is also ex-
cellent.”
People who prefer solid medicines
should try Peruna tablets. Each tablet
represents one average dose of Peruna.

DOCTOR SAID “USE CUTICURA”
Bad Case of Eczema on Chi Id-
Disease Had Reached a Fearful
State—His Order Resulted
in Complete Cure.
“When I was small I was troubled
with eczema for about three months.
It was all over my face and covered '
nearly all of my head. It reached
such a state that it was just a large ;
scab all over, and the pain and itching
were terrible. I doctored with an able
physician for some time and was then
advised by him to use the Cuttcura
Remedies which I did and I was en-
tirely cured. I have not been bothered
with it since. I used Cuticura Soap
and Cuticura Ointment but do not
know exactly how much was used to
complete the cure. I can safely say
that Cuticura did a lot for me. Miss

Why Sloan’a Liniment and Veterinary
Remediea Are the Beet to Use.
Let me tell you why Sloan'e Lini-
ment and Veterinary Remediea are
tbe safest and moat practical on the
market to-day In the first place. Dr.
Earl S. Sloan is the son of a veterin-
ary surgeon, and from his earliest in-
fancy ho was associated with horses.
He bought and sold horses while
yet very young. He practiced as a vet-
erinary for 20 years and has battled
successfully with every disease to
which that animal is subject.
All his remedies are the result of
experiments made to save life or re-
lieve suffering while he was practic-
ing his profession.
Any reader, by writing to Dr. Earl
S. Sloan, G15 Albany Street, Boston,
Mass., will receive “Sloan’s Treatise
on the Horse." free. This book tells
how to treat horses, cattle, hogs, and
poultry. _
Seeking Experience.
T'p to the age of 16 Dick had re-
tained the proper scorn of things fem-
inine. Then he went to dancing
school and fell smitten by the charms
of several youthful Eves. Accordingly,
Dick approached his father and re-
quested theater tickets for two.
Father complied and merely asked
as he turned over the seats, "Which
I girl is it?”
“I'm going to take Mabel,” respond-
ed Dick.
• Then she's the one you like 'best?”
father continued.
I Dick turned a superior and pitying
i eye upon his parent. “Oh, no! I don’t
like her best. You don’t understand
the situation, father. It isn’t the girl
I care about. It's the experience I
want." ‘ •
ENDED THE BIBLE READING.
Beginner Resented Wife’* Enjoyment
of Hits Mistake.
A Kansas City man, who had fol-
lowed stock quotations, football scores
and race form sheets more closely
than he had religious and literary mat-
ters, recently was persuaded by his
wife to read aloud each evening from
the Old Testament to Improve the
knowledge of both on Biblical matters.
The man became Interested In the
story of the scriptures and read aloud
Beveral evenings with great gusto and
pleasure. One night as he was swing-
ing along he read: “And they horse-
whipped the beasts.”
“Hold on!” exclaimed his wife.
"What was that?”
“They horsewhipped the beaBts,” he
repeated, and continued reading. His
wife got up from her sewing, crossed
the room, looked over hla shoulder and
read:
“ ‘They worshiped the beasts.’
“There,” she said, “I knew the word
horsewhipped was not In the Bible.
He! He!"
The man closed the Bible with a
snap, clasped the snap, and that con-
cluded the readings for all time.
