Kaulfus of Houston was
celebrated on Saturday, June 20,
1992, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in
Austin. Celebrant was Deacon
Gerald Dupont of Sugarland.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Parris of Austin.
Parents of the bridegroom are
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Kaulfus of
Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Grandmothers of the bride are
Mrs. Fred Goertz of Rockne and

Friendship Extension
Homemakers Club met July 1 at
the Manor House with Adell

meeting in Galveston July 22 to
25.
Officers for the coming year
were nominated and accepted.
On August 3, the new county ex-
tension agent/home economics,
Carolyn Bonner, will be in the
county office.

we see Clara Maynard retire,”
said Louise Stiles, club reporter.
August 24, at the First National
Bank Civic Room, there will be
an E.H.C. Leadership Training
meeting. Wreath construction,
using many different materials,
will be taught. -More about this
later.
The craft demonstration, a
reindeer made from a wash cloth,
a bar of soap, and pipe cleaners
was given by Mabel Voigt.
The August 5 meeting will be a
covered-dish luncheon at 11:30
a.m. at the Manor House. Come
and join the group for fellowship

Golden celebration
Sister Friebe recognized for 50 years
A Mass of Thanksgiving was
celebrated at St. Paul Medical
Center in Dallas on June 20
honoring Sister Michael Friebe
on the occasion of her 50 years as

Michael was joined by her fami-
ly and friends for the occasion.
Sister was born to Herman and
Ottelie Friebe in 1922 and named
Isabel Helen. She lived in the Pin
Oak community until graduating
from Smithville High School after
which she entered Seton Hospital
School of Nursing in Austin where
she became acquainted with the
life of service of the Daughters of
Charity. In 1942 Isabel joined the
Sisters, dedicating her life to God
as a Daughter of Charity, an was
