The huge oak tree on far left is the Nancy Jones oak tree which, according to the "1996 George Ranch Historical Park Interpreter Training Manual", she planted in 1824. The tree house was later added by the George's for Mary Jones, daughter of Mamie's cousin Henry Jones. There is a wooden rocking chair to the left, near the trunk of the oak tree and there are three more wooden chairs in the yard on the right. Written in pencil on the back of the photo: "Back yard of A. P. George Residence". Stamped on back in black: "Jan 27 1937 [1937 underlined with pencil]" and "526". The back is watermarked "Velox".
