the opening Church next Sunday

direction of Mrs. Clyde McClellan,

speak on the subject “The Break-
ing of Bread." This is a third mes-
sage on the theme of God's pro-

Lt. Stanley Jarrell son Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas Jarrell of Abi-
lene, and nephew of Mrs. Tom
Crews of Coleman, was "supposedly
killed when his plane, a P-47, crash-
ed during a strafing mission over
Liepzig, Germany, on April 19. In
a letter received from Lt. Jarrell’s
buddy who was flying next to him
on the mission, stated that they
were flying at tree-top level straf-
ing military installations in that
area, and that ack-ack Was so
] heavy it was almost impossible to
' see. He witnessed Lt. Jarrell's plane,
which was just ahead- of his, ex-
plode in the air. and due to the
low altitude, it was impossible for
him to bail out. He stated that it
was difficult to believe that any
pilot coul dsurvive such a crash,
but as yd his body has not been
found.
Lt. Jarrell's wife, the former Miss
Billy Mae Kent, and their son,
Stanley. Jr. reside in Abilene. He
went through primary training at
Coleman Flying School
