Here is a firm, silhouetting
the personality of Mr. Walter
Gordon, always representing to-
morrow, setting tne pace, and
proving year after year that
progress is always onward and
upward, ever trending to better
themes. The great financial suc-
cess of this enterprise was ifc
accident, but represented vision,
action and nerve. Mr. Walter
; Gordon to all appearances is a
quiet and conservative man. He
is congenial and friendly, in-
terested in this city and this
community, and he has always
contributed his resources and
effort to the end that we pro-
gress toward larger and more
appropriate goals. However,1 he
is not an excitable man—his
disposition is to- plan, and not
to theorize. He looks forward
to results, before action has be-
gun. and that characteristic has'
governed always every activity
of his career.
When we asserted in the be>- j
ginning, that this store has rep-
resented progress, eve meant, of
courseMhe right kind of pro-
gress—the kind built with rel-
iability, service and superior
values—and in leading the way,
they have guided their destinies
by the chart of experience and
common sense; and thus todavt??
with almost a large city store in 'thev oU?‘n ,quc!t‘J,
a small town, they prove that cannot duplicated here at
miracles have been performed
improvement been made than in

or ranch. A great deal of labor
has been eliminated, and more
work done at' less cost than here-
tofore. The farmer today must
be a business man, for modern
competition on his products,
have reduced* the selling price.
The Freeman Brothers have aid-
ed many of these people by their
advice ” and suggestion—-and
many who have taken that ad-
vice have moved over to the
black side of the ledger. It has
been said that these gentlemen
will trade for anything—es-
pecially any kind of livestock-
drop in on them—the venture
may prove so profitable—you
will thank us over and over
again for the suggestion.
They not only sell Allis Chal-
mers Farm Implements and trac-
tors, thy maintain a complete
service department—and carry
on hand at all times nearly ev-
ery standard part that may be
needed in an emergency.

ten amounts to a considerable
saving. All of our peop’e cer-
tainly appreciate this fine com-
pany, and are glad to have them
as one of our industries. Our
only hope is for their continued
prosperity and success.
One of the finest services
rendered this section by these
people, is their fine feed service.
They feature balanced feed,
that is guaranteed to give ak
