States will have given away or
loaned an estimated $40 billion or
more in foreign aid by the end ol
this month, a survey disclosed.
The end is not yet in sight al-

Hudson Training Course
A hie carpet remnant sale is be-
ing staged again at Pittman Floor
Cove ruing and Furniture Company,
401 Oak Street, according to Hoy
and Floy Pittman, owners.
This is one oi several remnant
sales that have been Ik Id by the
local store over a period of the past
several years. Every few months
the firm accumplates a large quan-
tity of ends of rolls that are not
suitable for display racks in the
spacious furniture and floor cov-
ering concern. These are called
remnants although many of them
are amply large enough to cover
complete rooms, hallways, dens and

Broiler Industry Will Be
Promoted In Sweetwater Area
Elster Rogers who has been in De-
troit for the past several weeks at-
tending a course al the Hudson
factory was scheduled to arrive
home today. lie completed the
course Saturday and is ready to re-
sume his doth s in the mechanical
service department of Morris Hi
Cardwell Motors, new Hudson
dealers here.
Rogers has spent several weeks
taking an extensive training course
m the Hudson factory and complet-
ed the course with a good stand-
ing. He is capable of handling any
mechanical job on Hudson cars
from motor to tail pipe.
One of the most important parts
of the training course was detail-
ed training in the mechanics of the
Hydromatic transmission He is
one of the very few mechanics in
Sweetwater who has had factory
training in this new' feature of the
modern automobiles.
Morris & Caldwell Motors is lo-

well Tire Company on Elm Street
L. O. Cardwell is manager and
several Hudson models are now on
display al tin firm. Considerable
remodeling of the building is being
planned, which will include a new
showroom facing the underpass on
Lamar Street.

area as economically as anywhere
in the south. They are prepared to
help work out plants with anyone
who is interested in going into the
broiler business. They have made
arrangements to help growers
make financial arrangements for
the construction of broiler houses
and the feeding of flocks.

enough land on which a broiler
house could he constructed, should
