“Children of happy families make happy families.”
Conclusion
Discipline of children. Work this out ahead of time!! What will be
your response when your child turns over his milk on the breakfast
table? Or drops his oatmeal? Or talks back or insists on his own way?
“A man (or woman) who fails to discipline his child, hates his child.’’
Proverbs. Read The Strong Willed Child" by James Dobson, Ph.D.
What can you do to make this marriage better? Write It Down!
Divorce! How terrible a thing! You promise in the wedding vows,
“till death do us part;” yet, one of every two marriages in the USA
ends in divorce. However, if a couple goes to church regularly, there
is only one divorce in eighty marriages, and if a couple also reads
their Bibles and pray together regularly, there is only one divorce in
fifteen hundred marriaees! Read For Every Married Couple by Kd
Wheat.
Which odds do you like best? What are you going to do?
What church family will you be a part of? Plan this before
marriage. Seek the pastor for counsel, as well as the older couples
who have the kind of marriage (hat you both want.
Read the Bible, a modern translation. Matthew 5, 6 and 7; 1 Cor.
13; Ephesians 5:23-23, 4:29-32; Romans 3:23, 8:28-39, 12:1, 2;
Galatians 5:19-26; Philippians 4:13, 19; John 3:16, 10:10; and much
more.
Professional help: Besides a family doctor, you will need a lantily
dentist, lawyer, accountant, banker and a personal financial planner
lhal you can trust and stick with the rest of your life! They’ll save you
much money and time!
Good Luck and God Bless you!! Copy and share this if you want.
Counseling videotapes are also loaned free at the clinic. It’s non-
embarrassing, effective and inexpensive. A couple married for 47
years, saw the tape and reflected, How did Doctor Trimble know all
about us?” „
You will also want to read The Christian Family by Larry
Christensen, and Strike the Original Match by Chuck Swindoll.
