Waddletons hold
4th annual reunion
Curie Waddleton recently held
her 4th annual family reunion in
Wylie on July 4th, her first family
reunion without her husband J.D.
Waddleton who passed in August
1994. Some of the activities includ-
ed softball, dominos and fireworks.
To help her celebrate this special
occasion were several family mem-
bers: Bennie, Merlene and Amber
Waddleton, all from Kentucky;

Edna M. Roe
Edna M. Roe of Atlanta passed
away July 6, 1995 at the age of 85.
She was married to the late R.C. Roe
and lived in Wylie a number of
years.
She is survived by three sons,
Edward, A.J. and Jimmy, and one
daughter, Linda, all of East Texas;
three step-children, Iris Muetzen-
berg, Elna Kitchens and Wilbur Roe;
two brothers and three sisters, also
some nieces and nephews; 11 grand-
children and 7 step-grandchildren;
and several great grandchildren and
step great grandchildren.
Burial was in Atlanta, Texas on
July 8, 1995.
Charles Leroy Snyder
Funeral services were held for
Charles LeRoy Snyder, 62, of Wylie
on Tuesday, July 18, 1995 at 10 a.m.
at Allen Funeral Chapel with grave-
side services at 3 p.m. at Harris
Chapel Cemetery in Lindale. Dr.
A.L. Draper officiated. Mr. Snyder
passed away on Sunday, July 16,
1995.
He was the son of Clayton R. and
Ida Mary Spencer Snyder, born
August 17, 1932 in Conawongo
Valley, New York He married Helen
Fay Stevenson on Oct. 8, 1954. He
was a salesman for the Billings
Corporation.
Survivors include: his wife. Helen
Snyder of Wylie; three sons,
Clayton, Larry and Michael, all of
Wylie; two daughters, Lisa Diane
Yezek of Glen Heights, and Cynthia
Elaine French of Wylie; one brother,
David Ellwyn Snyder of Longview;
and five grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by
Allen Funeral Home.

Mauks hold
29th reunion
in Oklahoma
The 29th Mauk Family Reunion
was held July 7th and 8th at the
Western Hills Guest Ranch in
Wagoner, Oklahoma.
In attendance were Mr. and Mrs.
Ken Mauk of Wylie. Special guests
included Inga Mellerowic-Mauk of
Lauffen, Germany (homeland of the
Mauks since the 1300s), and her
brother, Gunther, and his wife,
Elizabeth, of Pippersville, Penn.
Wine tasting from the hills of
Lauffen, Germany, and a seated din-
ner were among some of the activi-
ties enjoyed by the Mauks. 1997 will
see 60 years of celebrating the Mauk
Family Reunion.

shown in prayers, cards and concern
for Willie during his hospital stay.
He is now in Plano Rehab, progress-
ing, and will be home soon.
