Pure-Pak Bottling Machine
Fascinates Many Visitors
The Pure-Pak bottling machine1
In the big Vandervoort’s plant here,
is the only one of its kind in Sweet-
water and the entire plant is one
of the most modern in West Tex- j
as.
The new Pure-Pak bottling ma-
chine bottles Vandervoort's homo-
genized and cultured butter milk
fresh daily in handy-Pure-Pak car-
tons. Bottling of the milk fresh
every dav here in Sweetwater, as-
sures customers of the freshest and
most delicious milk available, ac-
cording to the plant owners.
The big machine is fascinating to
visitors in the big emaculately
clean dairy plant.
Fresh pure milk flows through
sterilized pipes into the big ma-
chine that takes cartons folder flat,
forms one contained after the other
in rapid succession, sterlizes every
one and after the fresh milk has
been filled in the exact amount,
the carton is sealed and delivered,
ready for placing into delivery
cases.
Action of the bottling machine,
from start to finish is all automatic.
No operation requires the touch of
touch of human hands and is ac-
complished with extreme accuracy
and at a rapid rate of speed.
The Pure-Pak carton bottling ma-
chine is only one of the modern ma-
chines and improvements that
makes up the vast Vandervoort's
daily plant. Every department is
operated under strict sanitation
regulations.
Owners of the Vandervoort’s
dairy plant here invite the public
to inspect the vast new plant and
to see the new bottling machine
in operation.
Reynolds Electric Offers
Big Trade-In Allowance
Reynolds Electric Company, 320
East Bi'oadway, is offering an un-
usual trade-in allowance on old
refrigerators by allowing $100.00,
when traded-in on a list of new Hot-
Point and Admiral refrigerators.
Mr. Reynolds slated Saturday
that he has a market for a few
used refrigerators and is able to
make the unusual offer at this
time.
The Reynolds Electric Co. has a
large stock of both Hot-Point and
Admiral refrigerators on display in
the firm’s showroom. The stock
includes refrigerators, ranges, iron-
ers, automatic washing machines
and various smaller home appli-
ances.
The veteran electric service man
invites his friends and customers
to visit the store and investigate
the real value that is now available
in the purchase of a new refriger-
ator. ‘‘Of course we won’t be able
to offer this amount for old refrig-
erators at all times, but at the
present time, we can dispose of the
used refrigerators in a manner that
will permit us to come out fairly
well on the deal,” he said.

HOW MOST AMERICANS think of Russia is in terms of an ‘‘oxcart
economy.” typified by this scene in a rural Soviet area.
Approximately 100 Purina-fed fat

16 club boys and various farmers
and ranchmen of the area, will be
auctioned in a special sale at 1:00
o'clock on Wednesday, April 9 at
Webster Auction Co.
The auction sale will be conduct-
ed especially to offer the Purina-
fed calves and the event is expect-
ed to attract widespread attention
and a large number of buyers.
Prizes amounting to $150.00 will
be given to club boys who partici-
pated in the Purina feeding pro-
gram. The calves will be graded at
die Porter Feed & Seed Co., at
10:00 a. m. on Wednesday, proceed-

is being given by the Porter Co.
All club calves will be autioned

ducted in the area by the local
; Purina dealer. A herd of 20 calves
has been fed in a special lot con-
structed at the back of the feed
