go out Thursday during fourth
period. There will be no school
Friday and Monday.

been decided on at the

FeSx Figueroa and Billy
Gunbei both placed third in the
region speech contest. They
are both second alternate for
state.
The T.H.S hand received a
one at U.I.L. contest in
Kingsville. The band will not
compete at Buccaneer Contest.
However, they will nresent a
concert in May.
Dennis Goins placed fifth at
the region track meet Satur-
day. John Josserand pulled a
muacle in his leg and did not
ran in the finals.
The Lettermene' Club held a
meeting Tuesday to discuss
limit hip.
The Taft Varsity Baseball
Team lest to Gregory-
Portland, 11-1, last Tuesday.
The games against West Oso
and Tuloso-Midway were

Calallen in a double-header
Thursday. The B team game
begins at 4 pm. and the varsity
begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Taft F.F.A. held their
annual banquet Thursday
night. The guest speaker was
