Sts. lled’ W’hy1 How, do you answer Lucy when
she s.-mes to the breakfait table ani announces,
' I'm not going to school today!'’ You know. Lucy
goes. ..
How do you answe. wkan Lucy comes in be-
smudjjed with dirt and says, 'Tin not going to take
a bath!" You know*Lucy bathes.
How do you answer when Lucy, threatened with
illness, says. "I'm not going to take that medicine1''
You mow, she takes it
VVi y all ihis timidity,' then, in the realm of
Sjnritu.il guidance and moral training’ Going to
wait an,I let her decide what Church she 'll go to
when she's old enough’ Don’t tool yourself. By
that nine she’ll probably believe that a decision
neglected by her parents during her first twenty
years might not be necessary at all. You didn't
wait until she was “old enough" to decide she
should go to school
Afraid she'll liter succumb to the old story about
“ .too much religion when I was young . ,
parents made me go’" This tale is obviously false.
Just because she takes a bath tonight doesn’t mean
ahe’ll discontinue them at the age eft twenty-one.
What shall I say to Lucy when she announce*
she doesn't like Sunday School and Church Thst's
easy Be consistent.
By firmness and example you can show her that
church-going it a necessity And in later years,
she will thank vou (or bringing into her life the
greatest, values a mature person can possess—
Christian habits and ideals.
