rence Keith Rountree, 80, were
held in Henderson Funeral
Home Chapel at Santa Anna at
2:30 p.rri. Saturday, April 8,
1978. Mr. Rountree was bom at
Poolville January 2,1898, to R
T. and Ida Goodman Rountree.
He died at San Marcos
Thursday at 10:00 a m,
A resident of Santa Anna
from 1904 until 1916, he was a
1916 graduate of Santa Anna
High School, A veteran of
World Wars 1 and II, and a
member of the Methodist
Church, he worked as a drug
salesman until 1958 when he
retired.
Surviving him is one
sister, Mrs, Joe Bailey (Ruby
Cheaney) of San Marcos: and a
niece, Mrs. J R Mickler of
Falfurrias.
Officiating minister was the
Rev, Ellis Holden Jr., pastor of
First United Methodist Church
Interment was in Santa Anna
Cemetery under direction of
Henderson Funeral Home of
Santa Anna.

Mrs, Tuny Griffith, 93. of -
Santa Anna. Coleman County
native and lifelong resident,
died Sunday, April 9, 1978 at
11:24 p.m in Ranger Park Inn
after a short illness. Funeral
services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday
(today) in Stevens Memorial
Chapel, Coy Cavitt officiating.
Mrs Griffith was born
September 19, 1884 in Trick
ham, the daughter of Bud and
Roxie Shannon Boles. On July
9, 1905, she married John T.
Griffith in Coleman County and
he preel'ded her in death on
October 3. 1966. She had
’resided in the county all of her
life and was a member of the
Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daugh
ter. Mrs. A. G. (Ima) Brewer of
Santa Anna, one son, Joe E.
Griffith of San Angelo, one
sister, Mrs. Vergie Loudermilk
of Santa Anna, four grandehil
dren: 6 greatgrandchil-
dren, one greal great grand
child; and several nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers will be C. E.
Wise. Allen Wells. Robert
Robinette. I.uther McCrary,
Odie Griffith and Doug Proctor
Interment will be in Santa
Anna Cemetery under the
direction ’of Stevens Funeral

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

The infant was dead on
arrival at Overall Morris Mem
orial Hospital at 7:45 p.m.
Sunday, April 9, 1978. He was
born in Coleman on October 24,
1977.
Survivors are the parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Don L. Smith; a
sister, Ava Adelia of the home;
the maternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. James W. Walkup of
Harrisonburg, Virginia; the
paternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Tom C. Smith of Albu-
querque, New Mexico; and the
maternal greatgrandmother,
Mrs. Hubert Womeldorf of
Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Interment will be on Silver
Valley Cemetery under the
direction of Stevens Funeral
Home. Henry Dodson and Jim
Williams will serve as pall
bearers.

tive program On Futures
Commodity Markets at the
regular tnonthly meeting of the
Coleman Young Farmers on
Thursday, April 6.
Mr. Rhone explained the
details of buying, selling,
hedging and contracts on the
Futures Commodity markets,
and how the major causes of
market fluctuations as well as
how individual farmers may
participate in Futures trading.
Guests at the meeting were
