LEADING N.Y. NEWSPAPERS
ASSAIL U.N. SECURITY
COUNCIL RESOLUTION
NEW YORK, (JTA) — The
Security Council resolution criti-
cizing Israel for its March 17
retaliation raid on Syrian gun-
posts in the Lake Tiberias area
came under editorial fire this
week in leading New York dail-
ies. The Times, in a typical
editorial reaction, called the Sec-
urity Council vote “one of those
actions that feed criticism of
the United Nations” and as rep-
resenting “something less than
even-handed justice in the Syr-
ian-Israel dispute.” (See relative
story- Page 4).

BEHIND THE HEADLINES
“If there is any doubt today
in anyone’s mind about the need
for better human relations —
the practice of Brotherhood -—
look at the daily headlines.
Chances are that the failure to
practice Brotherhood created
the news behind all too many of
those headlines.”
