On December 14, Mrs. Joe Dubin
was luncheon hostess at her home,
11038 Westmere. Mesdames Martin
Leibow, Joe Pincus, Harold Lands-
man and Sylvia Cohen, co-hosted a
luncheon on December 13 at the
Leibow home, 7007 Mason Dells.
Luncheon hostesses, at 21 Club,
were Mesdames Irving Ballerstein,
Lou Berlin, Morris Cohen, and Julius
Coleman. A buffet dinner will be
given December 19 by Mrs. Pete
Kaufman and Mrs. Aaron Stein for
out-of-town guests, at the Kaufman
home, 11341 Crest Brook. The
following evening, Jack Robins,
uncle of the future bride and Mrs.
Selma Levy, aunt from Houston will
be hosts for the rehearsal dinner
at the Columbian Club. Mrs. Na-
than Bassior and Mrs. Robert Wilon-
sky will be co-hosts at a luncheon
for the wedding party and out-of-
town guests at the 21 Club on
Sunday, Dec. 21. Miss Robins and
Mr. Neuberg will be married that
afternoon at Tiferet Israel. Out-of-
town guests will include Messers
and Mesdames, Phil Sherman, Jack
Eisner, Mr. Harry Robins, New
York; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fischl
and children, Omaha, Nebraska; and
Messers and Mesdames, Eddie Blei-
weiss, Jack Berger, Leon Goldberg
and Jack Robins, all of Houston.
Late December bride-to-be, Jan
Naxon, is spinning in an avalanche
of lovely pre-nuptial, parties. On
December 20, Mesdames Larry Axel-
rod, Morris Cohen, Lee Morgan and
Sol Weinberger will be luncheon
hostesses at The Chimney. The
following evening, Jan goes to Fort
Worth for a dinner party in her
honor given by Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy
Erwin at their home. Many more
are scheduled right up to the
wedding march. Miss Naxon an^
Richard Schwartz are to he .married
at Temple Emanu-El. on December
28.
Florence Donald, another Dec-
ember 28 bride-to-be, is also sche-
duled for a score of bridal parties
for the days preceding her wedding
toHoward Shapiro at Shearith Israel.
On December 22 an “Around the
Clock” shower and luncheon will
have as hostesses Mesdames Bruce
Knickerbocker, Frank Morris,
Richard Sowden and Miss Kay Knic-
kerbocker at the Morris home. That
evening Mrs. Jack Bernstein will
host a miscellaneous shower at her
home.
New Year bride-to-be, Miss Sheri
Bain begins her happy whirl with a
bathroom accessory shower Decem-
ber 20, given by Mrs. Sam Kasmir
and Mrs. Cyril Kasmir. A Brunch’
and linen shower is dated December
21 with hostesses Mesdames Phil
Gremm, George Hechtman, Reuben
Levy and Sam Shalette at Glen
Lakes Country Club. Miss Bain
and Larry Berk will repeat wedding
vows January 25, at Temple Emanu-

February bride-to^be Patricia
Brauman, was honored December
14 at a Brunch given by Mrs.
Sidney Goldman and Mrs. Harry
Freedman at the Columbian Club.
Miss Brauman and Stuart Fetter
are planning a February 15 wedding
at Shearith Israel.
Party moods prevail at this season.
Mrs. Charles Weiss, who leaves soon
to reside in Skokie, 111., was given
a surprise luncheon at Brookhaven
Country Club by a group of her
friends. On December 12 Mesdames
Hal Hirschfeld, Leon Vedder and
Earl Wakser, were luncheon hostess-
es at the Wakser home, 4727 Sugar
Mill Road, honoring Mrs. Weiss.
Eight year old Allysoa Kimmelman
was honored at a December 6
birthday skating party by her folks,
Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Kimmelman
at Dubeck’s. They are also expecting
Mrs. Kimmelman’s mother, Mrs.
Leo Rosenfeld, to arrive from Hill-
side, N.J. to spend the holidays
with them. The 1970 Confirmation
class at Temple Emanu-El had an
informal Pizza party in the Youth
Room at the Temple. Mrs. Mike
Weber and Mrs. Cyril Bloom were
at Temple"- Emanu-El—160 in all

who has been appearing in the
University of Texas’ drama depart-
ment’s presentation of “Hostage.
TRAVELLERS AND GUESTS-
Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Schecter will
soon observe their Jan. 4 Silver
Anniversary, and for an early cele-
bration they went for a “honey-
moon” motor trip to picturesque
Tucson, Phoenix and El Paso for a
week. Many more happy anniver-
saries: Mr. and Mrs. Jim Specker
and family leave shortly for a holi-
day in Miami, Fla. Uncle, Mr. Dave
Kohler of Miami Beach, Fla., was
in Dallas December 6 for the family
party that announced the engage-
ment of Linda Spiritas and La wry
Cohen. Other Dallasites seeking a
tropical sunshine vacation are Mr.
and Mrs. Everett Rosenberg who
enjoyed their week in Nassau. Terri
Horwitz will be home from the
University of Texas for the holi-
days.
The Thanksgiving holiday week-,
end were happy busy days for the
Kurt Roth family of 6823 Wag-
goner Drive, who were joined by
their daughter Nancy Charlotte and
her fiance, Richard Charles Goss,
both of Washingtoal The couple
came to Dallas after attending a
shower in Hinsdale, 111., given by
her fiance’s family and another
shower given by friends in Washing-
ton. Also returning home was the
Roth’s son, Danny, who is a sopho-
more at Washington University in
St. Louis. After a traditional Thanks-
giving dinner, the family attended
a performance of “Halfway up the
Tree” in the Dallas Theatre Center.
A luncheon on Friday at Port’s
O’ Call was hosted by Mr. and Mrs.
Rudy Baum and Mr. and Mrs. Al-
bert Heydemann. That evening a
family dinner was held at the Los
Siete Soles Club. On Saturday even-
ing, Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Roth were
hosts at a reception at the Willow
Creek Club honoring the engage-
ment of their daughter. On Sunday
co-chairmen for this party honoring afternoon, a shower was given by

Two Dallas coeds attending the
University of Oklahoma are serving
as teacher’s aides in Norman, Okla.
