PERSONALLY SPEAKING— February—the month of Valentine,
is chosen by many brides as their time of blossoming radiance.
A Valentine bride, Miss Marlene Bender, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Irving Bender, of Beaumont, will become the bride of Ronald Gary
Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wall, 6430 Lakehurst. Marlene has
been honored by numerous parties in Beaumont. On Jan. 14 a miscel-
laneous shower was given by Mrs. Irving Freedman and Mrs. Simon
Bender, at the Business and Professional Men’s Club. Mesdames Bud
Kasoff, I. Drayer and Nettie Kuhn, were co-hostesses for a Tea Jan. 26
at the home of Mrs. Kasoff. Tomorrow Mrs. Max Specter and Mrs. Sam
Specter, will entertain with a Coffee. A luncheon, Feb. 2, will be given
by Mrs. Leon Chernikowski and Mrs. Paul Kessler at the B&P Men’s
Club. On Feb. 13, Mrs. Joe Bender will host a luncheon at Beaumont
Country Club, and the same evening the Rehearsal Dinner, will be
given by Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wall at the Ridgewood Hotel. A Brunch
for the families and out of town guests will be given by Mr. and
Mrs. I. Freedman Feb. 14 at their home.
Miss Janice Dale Einhom, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Einhom,

Stanley Lawrence Wyll, on Feb.
27, has just started on her gay
whirl' of pre-nuptial parties. A
kitchen gadget Shower-Brunch was
given Jan. 17, by Mesdames Nell
Ravkind, Abe Wyll, (aunts of the
future groom) and Will Friedman.
The Brunch table was attractively
centered/ with a small ornamental
tree decorated with miniature
kitchen gadgets. Twenty - four
guests attended. Mesdames Hymie
Schwartz, Dave Goldstein, and Na-
than Levine, (aunt of the groom)
chose Chateaubriand for their Lun-
cheon-shower, honoring Miss Ein-
horn. On Jan. 30 the bride’s aunts
an<J grandmother, Mesdames Har-
old Goodman, Abe Meyer, Ben
Weinberg and Morris Einhorn, will
entertain with a luncheon at Brook-
haven Country Club. Many other
parties are planned for next month.
Miss Rose Alice Newman, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Newman,

bride-elect of Harry Mark, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Mark, 5712
W. Claridge, was recently honored
byv Mrs. Marion Zable and Miss
Phyllis Zable with a miscellaneous
shower at the Oak Cliff Savings
and Loan Association. On Jan. 23
Mesdame^ Milton Levy, Morton
Koslow, Edward Gordon and Ger-
son Lachman were hostesses at a
luncheon at Bali Hai Restaurant. A
Spinster dinner this evening will be
given by Mrs. Hyman Utay and
Miss Pearl Utay at their home 6722
Royal Lane. Mrs. Charles Moore
will be hostess for a kitchen shower
Feb. 12, and on Feb. 27, Mrs. Wes-
ley Tucker and Miss Linda Tucker
will honor the bride-to-be with a
luncheon.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rosen,

their 15th wedding anniversary
with an intimate party on Jan. 16.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wall, 6430
Lakehurst, reached the Silver Mile-
stone on Jan. 20. With their chil-
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Siegel and
Ronald Wall and his fiancee, Mar-
lene Bender. They spent a lovely
evening at the Statler-Hilton din-
ing and having fun.

newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. Alan
Glazer, 3109 Fondren Dr. The
former Miss Judy Yohay, she is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Davi(J G. Yohay, of Plainview,
Long Island, and her husband is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
J. Glazer of Brooklyn, N. Y. They
were married Jan. 3 in Park Ter-
race. Alan, a graduate of NYU and
now a law student at SMU while
Mrs. Glazer, a graduate of Bran-
deis University and a former stu-
dent of Julliard School, will teach
music in the Dallas Public Schools.

and family formerly of New York
and happy living to Mr. and Mrs.
Don Donowitz in their lovely new

Little Miss Helen Schwartz was
delighted when a new little sister
arrived Jan. 13. Andra Rae came
to live with parents Mr. and Mrs.
Erwin M. Schwartz at 7614 Mid-
bury Rd. Proud grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Leo Meyers of Chicago
are expected next month to join
grandmother, Mrs. Betty Schwartz,
Dallas, in the welcome. Mrs. Sadie
Meyers, of Chicago, is the great-
grandmother.

tend the Feb. 1 meeting of the

named to the National program
committee for 1960 of the National
Biennial Convention of the Na-
tional Jewish Welfare Board to be
held Mar. 30 to Apr. 3 in St. Louis.

pleted Leica Camera School, in
Germany, and is having a wonder-
ful time seeing France, Germany
and Italy during his free time. At
present he is having an interesting
vacation at Berchtesgarten.

is enjoying a restful visit with her
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sin-
ger, 3246 Myra Lane. Mr. Sam
Rosdale, New York, is the welcome
guest of his sister and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Dave Schall, 5531 W.
Purdue.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ely, 4401
Stanhope, left for Florida, where
Mr. Ely will attend the Million
Dollar Club convention. After a
lovely vacation in sunny Florida,
Mr. Ely returns home and Mrs. Ely
proceeds to Stamford, Conn. Mr.
and Mrs. Jerome Ely go to London
for several weeks. While in Florida
the senior Elys observed their 40th
Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 25.

sons, Joel, Bill and Louis, spent
New Year’s in Chicago with her
brother, Mr. Robert Platt and her
mother Mrs. Louis Platt. On Dec.
31, Miss Idae Benjamin joined
the Comroes in Chicago. Idae and
Bill celebrated New Year’s Eve
with Charles and Marshall Gerber,
Sammy pledges of SMU and Okla.
U. and their dates, at the Chicago
fun spots. Bill, Idae and the Gerber
twins were guests at dinner given
by Mrs. Louis Platt. On Feb. 1,
Bill goes to Norman, Okla., to
study for his accounting degree.
Out of town guests here to at-
tend the Bar Mitzvah of Stuart
Isgur, February 6 at Shearith
Israel, are aunts, Mrs. David Kest,
Brooklyn, and Mrs. Charles Brown,
also of Brooklyn. After Dr. Hillel
Silverman delivers the charge to
the Celebrant, a Kiddush will fol-
low. Stuart is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Irving Isgur, 4012 Williams-
burg Rd.
Out of town guests for the Bat
Mitzvah of Zadel Rosen, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rosen,
7607 Yamini, are Mrs. Bertha Feld-
man, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Abe
Hofberg, and Mrs. Sol Hofberg of
Washington, D. C. Mrs. Feldman is
the grandmother and Mrs. Abe
Hofberg is the aunt of the Cele-

songstress Lisa Kirk who achieved
fame and success on both Holly-
wood and Broadway, will open a
two week engagement in the Em-
pire Room of the Statler Hilton
on Feb. 4.
Belated but Happy birthday
greetings to Robin Segal, daughter
of Freida and G6rald Segal, who
celebrated her fourth birthday on
the 21st and too, Joy Ann Rudberg
who celebrated on the 20th and her
brother Michael whose birthday is
Jan. 14. Joy Ann and Michael are
the children of Doris and Max Rud-

Twenty-five guests attended the
luncheon at the Dallas Athletic
Club at which Mrs. M. C. Mandell
honored her future daughter-in-law
Marcia Ann Schiff. Marcia, who is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Schiff, 6323 E. Lovers Lane;
will wed Gerald Mandell on Feb.
21 at Temple Emanu-El. The fu-
ture bridegroom’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Mandell, reside at 11412

of the Dallas Hebrew Free Loan
to be held this Sunday evening at
Shearith Israel is shaping up as one
of the big events of the season.

Fred Reisberg, Louis Feldman of
the Dinner Committee along with
Bill Soltes, Mannie Hoppenstein
and Nat Walters will make this an
