Zale Families Nearing Capacity
With so many attractions,
it’s no wonder the Israel
Bonds Community Dinner,
Monday, May 24, is nearing
capacity. Several hundred
people have already signed
on to honor the Zale fami-
lies, hear Likud party leader
Benjamin Netanyahu speak,
support Israel by purchasing
its securities...and have a
great time. The dinner is be-
ing held at the Westin Hotel
at 6:30 p.m.
Dallas Israel Bonds Gen-
eral Chairman Mark Werbner
said “the response has been
tremendous, but we can still
make room for latecomers.”
The Zale families are be-
ing honored foryears of com-
mitment and support for Is-
rael. Netanyahu will present
the Israel Peace Medal to
Donald Zale, on behalf of the
M.B., William and Abe Zale
families.
“The Israel Peace Medal
is presented to friends of Is-
rael who have demonstrated
lifelong commitment to
Israel’s economic develop-
ment and to its efforts to build
a lasting peace,” said
Werbner.
Israel’s recently elected
Likud bloc leader, Benjamin
Netanyahu, is one of Israel’s
most popular and visible poli-
ticians. He is viewed by many
as most likely to be the next
prime minister.
Howard and Leslie Schultz
and Nate and Ann Levine,
two couples very active in
the Dallas Israel Bonds pro-
gram, are co-chairing this
area’s biggest dinner of the
year.

State of Israel bonds is an
international securities orga-
nization offering interest-
bearing instruments issued
by the government of Israel.
Since its inception in 1951,
the organization has secured
more than $13 billion in in-
vestment capital for the de-
velopment of every aspect of
Israel’s economy, including
Benjamin Netanyahu
agriculture, commerce and
industry. Throughout its his-
tory, Israel has maintained a
perfect record on the pay-
ment of principal and inter-
est on the securities it has
issued. Now, with Jews ar-
riving from the former So-
viet Union, Bonds proceeds
are being utilized to provide
jobs and homes for these,
Ethiopian and other immi-
