Ladies Auxiliary “Passover Tasting Party” To Feature Workshop
An exciting and informative morning is planned for this
Tuesday, March 10 when the Ladies Auxilary to Congregation
Ahavath Sholom will hold a Passover Brunch and Auxiliary
Workshop. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Synagogue
Center. Many Passover delicacies will be available for sampling,
along with their receipes. The admission price is 75 cents, and
will include brunch.
Following brunch, a tableau, “The Meaning and Symbols of
Passover”, written by Mrs. Simon Zipper, will be narrated by
Mme. David Luskey and Mrs. A1 Kaplan. A question and answer
period on all phases of Passover will be conducted by Rabbi Isa-
dore Garsek.
Mrs. Larry Kornbleet and Mrs. Ben Rubin are in charge of
food and decorations. The Workshop committee consists of Mrs.
Stanley Barnett, Chairman, Mrs. Simon Zipper and Mrs. Isadore
Garsek, Co-Chairmen, and Mmes. I. E. Kriesberg, David Luskey,
A1 Kaplan, Leon Brachman and Sherwin Rubin.
The Passover dishes will be prepared by Mmes. Simon Zip-
per, A1 Kaplan, Isadore Garsek, I. E. Kriesberg, Jake Luskey,
Jimmy Rosenthal, Buddy Rosen, Abe Mehl, Dave Berkowitz, Irl
Sampson, Henry Salem, Sam Kimmell, Louis Ginsberg and Sid-
ney Raimev.
Mrs. I, E. Kriesberg, presdient, will preside.
Planning the Passover Food Workshop and Brunch to be
featured at the Ladies Auxiliary meeting,this Tuesday morn-
ing at Ahavath Sholom Synagogue are (1. to r.^ chairmen,
MMES. ISADORE GARSEK, SIMON ZIPPER, 1. E. KRIES-
EERG (Auxiliary President) and LARRY KORNBLEET.

Mrs. Charles Cohen of Fort for the past four years on the

B’nai B’rith Women at the Feb.

in charge of publicity and Miss
Etta Brand, Dallas, vice-presi-

of Judaism.
The new president helped to
organize the Fort Worth Chap-
ter of B’nai B’rith, Women and
served as its first president for
Executive Board of B’nai B’rith
Women, District No. 7 n vari-
ous chairmanships including Vo-
cational Service, Philanthropies,
Adult Jewish Education and al-
so now serves on Chapter Ser-
vice and District Expansion.
Mrs. Freed served as Vice-
President of the State Associa-
tion last year and now serves
as president of her Chapter is
El Paso. Miss Brand also serves
presently as President of Star-
two years. She has since servediight Chapter in Dallas.

evening at eight o’clock, Rabbi
Robert J. Schur will conduct the

ers will serve as ushers.

Mrs. Hamill in honor of their

SENIOR CITIZENS TO MEET
The next meeting of the Sen-
ior Citizens Club of the Dan
Darciger Jewish Community
Center will be held on Thurs-
day, March 12, at 1 p.m. in the
Temple Beth El Activity Roona
Rabbi Isadore Garsek will
speak on the “Dead Sea Scrolls
—The Latest Developments and
Interpretations.”
Mrs. Maurice Cohen, one of
the community’s very talented
musicians will give several pi-
ano selections.
