POSTORIAI,
REJOICE IN JERUSALEM
You may rejoice in Israel this year!
To insure a low cost inspiring trip abroad the Texas Jewish
Post is happy to recommend two important tours for your trav-
elling pleasure. One is the United Jewish Appeal tour to Israel,
the other, the Texas Jewish Post tour to Israel and Europe.
The United Jewish Appeal’s 20th Anniversary Conference
planned for next June 24th, 25th and 26th in Jerusalem, Israel,
is an event we are happy to commend to everyone in our com-
munity. Certainly it is a conference which everyone who plans
to be abroad this summer should make every effort to attend.
To those who have never been to Israel, the occasion of the
UJA Conference, taking place at a time when all Israel is cele-
brating its 10th year of statehood, offers a unique opportunity
to make a pilgrimage to Eretz Israel which will be both memor-
able and rewarding.
The opportunity which the UJA’s low cost tour offers confer-
ence attendees to visit every place of interest in the four great
regions of Israel—Galilee, Judea, the Plains of Sharon, and the
Negev—should be enough to send one packing his bags More,
the privilege of seeing while there the miracles of rebuilding and
redemption wrought by our collective gifts to UJA makes this
cofnference tour a must for every Jew.
The Ulpanim which conducts “crash” Hebrew training pro-
grams for newcomers, the transports unloading remnants of our
people the UJA succeeded in redeeming with our help, the vast
new agricultural and industrial complexes like Lachish the
new villages and towns replete with schools, hospitals, syna-
gogues, dotting the former wastelands of the Negev to absorb
immigrants old and new—these are the heavenly treasures we
have amassed for ourselves and for all Jewry by our gifts to
the UJA.
For years we have been buying UJA from the catalogue, so
to speak. Now the opportunity presents itself, in the, UJA’s 20th
Anniversary Conference in Jerusalem, to see these miraculous
achievements for ourselves and to gain the full espiritual impact
of Isaiah’s vibrant prophecy: “I will rejoice in Jerusalem and
joy in my people’ ’
.The Texas Jewish Post tour will offer a wonderful opportu-
nity to tour Israel, attend the UJA Conference in Jerusalem,
visit in Rome, Florence, Pisa, Italy; Nice, and Paris, France;
Switzerland and enjoy a wonderful stay at the World's Fair in
Brussels.
All this will include meals, tips, hotel rooms, tour and taxi
fares from Fort Worth-Dallas to Israel, Europe and1 return by
air.
For particulars about the UJA tour we urge you to contact
either the Dallas or Fort Worth Federation. For the Texas
Jewish Post tour you may call Hoyt Travel Service at ED 5-
4424, Fort Worth or your favorite travel agent.
