2001 Season Announced for Broadway Contemporary Series
The Broadway Contemporary
Series, presented by Dallas Sum-
mer Musicals will present five
highly acclaimed shows for 2001,
starting January 9-14 with film and
stage star Kathleen Turner stamng
in Tallulah at the Majestic The-
atre.
The 2001 BCS season lineup
also includes Lido La Tournee, the
famous Parisian revue from the
Lido de Paris, February 6-11 at the
Majestic Theatre; Fiddler on the
Roof starring Theodore Bikcl,
March 13-18 at The Music Hall;
Leader of the Pack, featuring the
hit songs of Ellie Greenwich, May
22-27 at the Music Hall at Fair
Park; plus there will be one BCS
subscriber week of the Dallas Sum-
mer Musicals presentation of El-
ton John and Tim Rice's Aida at
the Music Hall at Fair Park, Oct. 9-
14, 2001.
Season tickets for the Broadway
Contemporary Series shows are on
sale now at The Box Office in
Preston Center, 6013 Berkshire
Lane. The tickets range in price
from SI 18.10 to $258.85 depend-
ing upon the time and date of per-
formance and seat location.
Kathleen Turner stars in the na-
tional tour of the Broadway-bound
production of Tallulah,, a one-
woman play written by Sandra
Ryan Heyward, based on the life of
actress Tallulah Bankhead. Criti-
cally acclaimed stage and televi-
sion director Michael Lessac di-
rects. The show is currently re-
ceiving both good reviews and
audience applause on its cross-
country tour.
Lido La Tournee, where the most
beautiful people of Pans parade in
their feathered costumes, comes to
the Majestic Theatre Feb. 6-11.
