Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Bennett, who entertained his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Bennett of Hollywood, Fla. during the recent holi-
days have a busy week ahead. The Bennetts leave this Friday for the
National Osteopathic Convention and Scientific Seminar at the Ameri-
cana Hotel in Miami Beach. Dr. Bennett, pathologist and Director of
Laboratories at the Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital will be featured
speaker at the American College of General Practioners meeting. A
certified member of the American Osteopathic Board of Pathologists,
Dr. Bennett will speak on “An Essay-Organ Transplantation-Patient
Selection.” as well as “Patho-Psychology of Death” and serve as a
moderator on a television panel discussion of “Medical-Moral and
Legal Aspects of Organ Transplantation. During the convention, when
Mrs. Robert Ralls of Granbury is installed as national president of the
Osteopathic Auxiliary, Miriam Bennett who possess a lovely voice has
been invited to sing. Following the convention, the Bennetts look for-
ward to a delightful three day cruise to Nassau.

To Be Featured Speaker
At Friendship Group
The Friendship Group, sponsored
by the Council of Jewish Women,
will hold their opening meeting of
the season this Sunday afternoon,
October 13, 2:30 p.m., at Ahavath
Sholom Center. A musical prograih
will be presented. Mrs. Mendel
Nussbaum, guest speaker, will dis-
cuss “Do You Believe In Angels.”
Refreshments will be served and
Bingo played.

ulations to Mike Cedars, 17 year
old son of Dr. and Mrs. Nathan
Cedars of Stephenville who has
been named a National Merit

and Sheldon Labovitz just back
from the whirlwind Press Theatre
Party entertained their daughter
and son-in-law, Jeanne and Billy
Krumbein of Houston last week-
end. The Krumbeins leave shortly
for a fabulous 70 day “Around the
World” trip stopping in such excit-
ing countries and ports as India,
Israel, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Nice newcomers are Ruth and Ed-
die Kranson and young son, Ho-
ward, formerly of Wilkes-Barre,
Pa, Eddie, who is the new manager
of American Home Equipment, re-
sides with his family in their new
Wedgwood home.
Jan and Lee Finberg were de-
lighted to have as their holiday
guest, good friend, Bella Fogelman
of Philadelphia. Speedy recovery
wishes to Leon Weingarten. Oct-
ober 11 is a special day for Mrs.
Sidney H. Lane and son, Randy
with both of them celebrating
their birthdays the same day. Dr.
and Mrs. Laneand their lovely
daughter, Lisa, will weekend in
Houston where Randy is a student
at the University of Houston. A
member of the honorary pre-med
scholastic fraternity, Phi Eta
Sigma, Randy is also a member of
the tennis team. Many more happy
anniversaries to Mr. and Mrs.
Harry B. Friedman celebrating
their 45th this Friday. Corrine
Bond of David’s Gloves just back
from a combined business-pleasure
trip to Georgia and Mississippi.

family, Margie and Harold Leving-
ston in Lawrence, Mass. Mrs.
Cohen is most proud of her great-
grandson, Scott Hyman Berkovitz
and his parents, Sandra and Stan-
ley Berkovitz, residents of Everett,
Mass.
An almost last look at HemisFair
in San Antonio for Ruth and Irv
Rapfogel, Marcia and Larry Kom-
bleet and daughters, Nan and
Laura, Margot and Paul Schwartz
and Ellen and Ted Mack and their
youngsters. Ruth Rapfogel, by
the way, is spending ten days in
New York trousseau shopping with
daughter, Nan who weds Evan
Freund on December 22 at the Del-
monico Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Max
Gressman of Kansas City, Mo.,
visited here with his sisters, Daisy
Landman and Dena Gressman and
their families, the Brudus Meyer-
sons, David Samsons, Pauline and
Ed Wittenberg, Hattie and Jack
Landman and the Arthur Gress-
mans. On the local scene, Louis
Bogart of Bogart Industries has
been named a vice-president of the
Miss Texas Pageant Corp. Also
named to the Board of Directors
was Mack Cohn. Paul Weisblatt
has been elected treasurer of the
Fort Worth Retail Furniture As-
sociation for the current year.
