Now Playing ‘Harvey'
The Dallas Theater Center open-
ed the classic comedy “Harvey,”
Pultizer Prize winning play by
Mary Chase, Thursday, Novem-
ber 19.
The second major production
of the Center’s ’64-’65 season,
“Harvey” tells the whimsical
story of a mild, sweet screwball,
named Elwood P. Dowd, and of
his boon companion, an invisible
six foot, one and a half inch
rabbit, named Harvey. There is
good fun in the play from the
efforts of Elwood’s family and
friends who try to convince him
that Harvey does not exist and
who, gradually themselves, be.

“Harvey” is scheduled for
fourteen performances, Tuesday
through Saturday nights, through
December 5. A Saturday matinee
is scheduled for November 28.

Julius Schepps Community
Showcase tthis Tuesday evening,
November 24, 8 p.m. at the JSCC,
7900 NOrthaven Road.

The Szold Group of Hadassah
invites its members and friends
to the regular meeting, Tuesday,
November 24 at 11:30 a.m. at the
Exchange Savings & Loan Build-
ing, 3550 Forest Lane. Luncheon
will be served.
Mrs. Melvin Olschwanger will
give the Invocation.
Mrs. Harold Oster, Program
Chairman, will introduce Nathan
Wyil who will speak on “Facts
and Fiction Behind the Iron Cur-
tain.” Mr. Wyll, associated with
Travel Inc., has just returned
from visiting the main cities in
the Soviet orbit. There will be a
question and answer period after
his talk.
El Chico's Pr. Royal

America’s major entertainers,
the New York born singer brings
audience after audience an un-
forgettable experience filled with
vocal beauty, humor, pathos and
drama in theatre and folk songs.
In a few short years the major
critics of music and theatre have

sonality, her musical artistry and
her amazing repertoire of songs
of beauty and meaning, have
added a bright and shining note
to America s Concert stage. Fem-
inine and radiant Elly Stone is
an artist of the first rank.
Other Showcase performances
will include: The Yakims, Israeli
Panton imests on March 21; Fe-
lix Fibich, Jewish Dance Inter-
preter on April 8; and Lou Ma-
son, Humorist on May 20.
Is Popular Restaurant
One of the most popular res-
taurants in Dallas today is the
Preston Royal El Chico. Known
for its courteous service in true
Mexican hospitality, Preston
Royal’s El Chico can easily ac-
commodate luncheon hosts and
their guests with tempting
menus.
The Preston Royal restaurant
has a modern exterior but is
styled in the flavor of old Mexi-
co inside. Patrons feel as if they
are walking on an outdoor patio
Avhen they enter on rust-colored
rugs in patterns and are seated
in booths under small balconies.
In addition to the main dining
room, El Chico also has excel-

Tiferet Israel Youth Group Hop Saturday
The Tiferet Israel Youth Group
will hold its first dance of the
season on November 21 from
7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in Katz
Hall of Tiferet Israel Synagogue.
The theme “Autumn Leaves”
will be honoring Stan S Jinitzer,
honorary past president. There
will also be the installation of
the newly elected officers.
Ail youth, ages 11 to 14 are
cordially invited and will be
welcome at the Dance. Dress
will be coats and ties for boys
and dress-up dresses for girls.
Admission will be $1.00 per
peron. Refreshments will be
served. Music will be provided
by the Titans.
