Bernard P. Rosen, president
of Ahavath Sholom Congrega-
tion, has announced the associa-
tion of Cantor Shimon Berris
effective in February.
Cantor Berris, a native of De-
troit, was educated at the He-
brew Theological College in
Chicago. He has assumed his
duties as Cantor and teacher in
the Hebrew Schools.
Cantor Berris, his wife, Linda,
and two young sons, will tem-
porarily reside at the Westches-
