MOTOR
Four cyclinders, cast en bloc, 3J-inch bore,
5-inch stroke. Two-bearing crankshaft;
three-point suspension. 20-25 horsepower.
COOLING
Thermo-syhon, or natural circulation sys-
tem—no pump. Large fan running on ball
bearings. -Radiator of cellular type with
vertical circulation, radiator shell pressed
from one piece of sheet steel.
IGNITION
High tension magneto. No dry batteries re-
quired. Independent of starting and light-
ing. Permits simplest possible wiring.
LUBRICATION
Constant-level splash system, with plunger
oil pump. Oil continuously strained. Float
gauge indicates amount of oil in crank case.
CARBURETER
Improved type, with hot air attachment;
simple adjustment. ,
WHEELBASE
104 inches.
TREAD
56 inches; for south, 60 inches.
STEERING
Irreversible, worm and full gear, hardened
steel and adjustable, four times the life of
ordinary sector type; ball thrust adjusta-
ble bearings. 17-inch steering wheel at
left side. Steering column anchored near
top prevents vibration.
CONTROL
Levers, center; electric switches on steer-
ing column; instruments on cowl dash. Ped-
als adjustable in length; large pads.
CLUTCH
Cone, leather-faced, with clutch brake to
facilitate gear shifting. Spring-pressed
stMs under clutch facing assure easy, grad-
ual engagement.
TRANSMISSION
Selective sliding gear type, located at rear
axle as a unit with differential.* Three
speeds forward, and reverse. Double-heat-
treated nickel-steel gears of stub-tooth
type; roller and annular ball bearings.
FRONT AXLE
I-beam ?ection, drop-forged in one heat
without welding. Adjustable taper roller
bearings Design of steering knuckles gives
short turning radius.
REAR AXLE
Floating type; four bevel differential
gears; removable shafts; annular ball bear-
ings.

Large and pc Jerful, ample for much heavi-
er car. Service, contracting, 12§ by If
inches; emergency, expanding, 12 by If
inches. Operate on rear wheel drums; quick
adjustable. Brake lining thick asbestos
fabric on woven brass wire core.

Semi-elliptic front, 36 by If inches. Canti-
lever rear, 42 by 2 inches.
WHEELS
Artillery type—12 hickory spokes.
TIRES
31 by 4 inches, non-skid rear.
RIMS
Demountable clincher type.
BODY ,
Streamline, with one-piece cowl. Roomy
seats, high backs; cushions built on deep,
coiled springs. Fabrikoid upholstery. Front-
hinged, wide U-doors. Large pockets in all
doors. Back of front seat covered below
robe rail. Tool compartment under rear
seat.

Crowned; heavy sheet steel.

Black. Nickel and polished aluminum fit-
tings.

top and top boot; curtains fastened from in-
side. Built-in, rain-vision, ventilating type

tric horn; combination tail light and license
bracket; hinged robe rail, foot rest; tire
carriers in rear; extra demountable rim;
full set of tools; tire/repair kit, jack and
pump.
