CHRISTMAS PARADE
Everyone seemed to be en-
joying the Christmas parade
December 8 after school was
dismissed at 2:40 p. m. Several
schools participated in the pa-
rade in which Mineola had sev-
eral representatives. Janice
Cole, dressed in a red taffeta
dress, rode in a black conver-
tible. She represented Mineola
High School as queen. Doris
Justice, dressed as a cowgirl

The FHA girls have been
making and hanging curtains
for the clothing lab and the
dining room. We have also
been cleaning up for the for-
mal dinner which we will
serve Friday. The girls have
accomplished much in the
preparation of this meal.
The second year girls have
been studying first aid. They
have planned to have a Christ-
mas party on the 21st.

“Oh. let me sleep,” w'ere the
first wrords heard last Satur-
day morning at the home of
Jean Rape.
After the play wre went over
to Jean’s house where wre were
to have a slumber party but
instead it was a slumberless
party. Around eleven wre wrent
to the kitchen and made va-
nilla and chocolate malts and
ate fritoes: then wre got ready
for bed. We put two mattresses
on the floor to sleep on.
