/"XUIt FRIEND, F. S. Stef-
V-/ fek of Sweet Home,
kindly remembered us Sat-
urday morning with some of
the products of his farm. As
we stated in this column be-
fore, he believes in taking
advantage of every opportun-
ity and so when the August
rains came he planted a num-
ber of fall crops and most of
these worked out all right.
Saturday, morning lie came
in with some roasting ears
and some pie melons. lie says
that the frost Saturday
morning nipped some of his
growing stuff on the lower
ground, particularly his
younger coi n and some of his
tomatoes. He states that lie
is well pleased with the re-
sults obtained with his
peanuts.
t t
O PDA KING about peanuts
^ reminds us that Robert
Humphrey, who has a farm
out in Frio county, returned
early last week from a few
ditys spent out on the farm
and he states that he had a
good crop of peanuts this
year and rather a large acre-
age. The price of peanuts,
like everything else, is down
but at that it is better than
many other crops and it pro-
vides excellent feed for most
any kind of stock.
