Organized September 21, 1971
The Peters Colony Historical Society of Dallas County, Texas is a
nonprofit organization. Membership year is June 1st through
May 31st, with all dues payable no later than August 31st.
Dues are $15.00 per year. Each member family receives a copy of
Elm Fork Echoes and Yearbook as published.
Meetings are monthly, September through May, except December.
Articles of historical or genealogical interest are welcomed by the
Editorial Committee of Elm Fork Echoes, however, neither the
Society nor the Editors are responsible for the accuracy or
authenticity of any statements or material published.

Photo Rylie Family Picture taken 1889
The girl in the white dress standing on the lower step in the
center is Ina Bell (Rylie) Low; the man to her right holding the
baby is her husband Calvin Low; the baby is their firstborn,
Harriet Helen Low (Born February 14, 1889). The man to her
left in the dark suit and white hat is her father, John
Armstrong Rylie; the taller woman in the white dress standing
on the porch is her mother, Harriet (Harding) Rylie. The
young man on the far left is her youngest of three brothers,
John "Jack" William Rylie. This house is on their "Peters
Colony Land Grant".
