First Baptist and Crestmont Baptist Churches will provide
a special Sunday Crusade in testimony and song Aug. 16
featuring Evangelist Larry Jones and gospel singer Wanda
Jackson, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.
The evangelism team will be with Crestmont worshippers
at the morning service beginning at 10:50 a.m. and with the
First Baptist congregation for the evening service at 7:30
p.m.
A native of Oklahoma, Mrs. Jackson has been thrilling fans
and consistently a top-seller for Capitol Records for many
years, not only in the United States but around the world.
In 1971, she became a born-again believer in Jesus and now
sings for the Lord. She and her husband, Wendell Goodman,
who is also her manager, reside in Oklahoma City with their
children, Gina, 17 and Greg, 16.
Jones is a graduate of Oklahoma City University and
Phillips Seminary. He also attended Southwestern Baptist
Seminary and Moody Bible Institute. He has been involved in
full-time evangelism for over 15 years and has conducted
over 200 city-wide crusades. He is heard weekly on his syn-
dicated radio and television programs.
Larry and his wife, Frances have two teenagers, A1 and
Larri Sue.
Crestmont and First Baptist invite the public for both ser-
vices.
