morning during,a special ppeirial
conference in the 18th District
Court, Visiting Judge Robert C.
.Wright of Marble Falls dismissed
charges of official misconduct
against District Judge E. Byron
Crosier.
Crosier was indicted by a
Johnson County grand jury on
charges of official misconduct
last May 23, but Wright dis-
missed both counts of the indict-
ment. The indictment alleged
that Crosier had acted in viola-
tion of state law by improperly

The motion to quash the in-

hear a presentation from Jean
Ft-1 ye of the Tarrant County Rape
Crisis Center. She will ask the
city to match the $500 contribu-
tion to the center it made in
1984.
During the past 17 months, the
center has provided counseling
to three rape victims and their
families from Burleson, she in-
dicated in a written report to the
city The center also gave 10 pre-
sentations locally on sexual
assault prevention and coor-
dinates local sexual assault cases
with the Burleson Police De-
partment.
At its last meeting, the council
looked a gift horse in the mouth,
so to speak, and requested a list
of specifications from developer
William Ware, who asked tor
permission to erect a fence on
Summercrest at Bartlett Park.
The council approved the gift in
principal, pending a look at the
specifications lor materials.
The specifications have been
deemed acceptable bv Parks
Director Doug Evans and he has
recommended that the council

The conduct alleged in count 1 of
the indictment is not prohibited
by the provisions ot the Code of
Criminal Procedure, thus the in-
dictment fails to allege an of-
fense against the laws of the

agenda. One is an amendment to

amendment to tnb code of or-
dinances pertaining to the ap-
plication and registration ol
ambulance service personnel;
and the linal item on the consent
agenda is the approval of
specifications and authorization
to call for bids on a dump body
for the public works depart-
ment
Student Byron Hawkins and teacher Charles Boardman, both of
Burleson High School, attended Annual Texas Energy
Science Symposium held at the University of Texas at Austin June
9-12. They were guests of Texas-Electric Service Company at the
conference, co-sponsored by the university and the Texas Atomic
Energy Research Foundation, of which TESCO is a member.
