1 Saturday before the Monday
night telecast of the finals, con-
stituting two thirds of the com-
petition. On Monday night,
tabulations of preliminary scores
are delivered, and the 10 highest
composite preliminary scores
revealed to name the 10 semi-
finalists.
Evening gown and swimsuit
presentations will take place, as
will a brief on-stage interview of
each of the 10 women, to deter-
mine the five finalists. From
those five, the new Miss Texas
USA will be selected by the
judges, following final questions
from the master of ceremonies.
Each stage 6f final competition
is televised, and it’s an exciting
pageant for viewers in Burleson
each year. But the excitement
will be quadrupled this Monday
night when four women from
our city and county will be
among those participating.
You won’t want to miss the
telecast and add your moral sup-
port to our lovely represen-
tatives.
