Wayne Graham will direct
the “Continental Singers
with the Continental Brass’’
in their concert appearance
tonight 7:30 p.m. in First
Baptist Church. The ensem-
ble of 20 vocalists and 20-
piece orchestra will present
a program of contemporary
Christian music.
It includes a special “15th
Anniversary Praise Celebra-
tion—You Just Can't Stop the
Music,” which features a
medley of favorite hymns
and choruses and many new
songs as well Titles include
“Get All Excited," “God
Loves the Country People,”
“Because Of Whose 1 Am,"
and other songs by favorite
contemporary Christian
composers such as David
Meece, Lanny Wolfe, Don
Francisco and Bill Gaither
The program will also in
elude orchestral arrange-
ments from their newest in
strumental album, "Praise
The Lord ”
Traveling with the group
on their summer tour is Kel-
ly Autry, a 1982 graduate of
Burleson High School She
was selected to play the
flute.
Graham toured with the
Continental Singers and Or-
chestra as an assistant direc-
tor on the Southern Europe
tour in 1979. He was tour
director to Holland in 1980,
and throughout the Uinted
States in 1981. He is an ac-
complished arranger, con-
ductor, and trombone solo-
ist.
Graham was graduated
from Texas Tech University
in Lubbock with a degree in
Music Education. He taught
school for one year and is
presently nearing comple-
tion of a Masters degree in
church music at Southwes-
tern Seminary. After com-
pletion of the summer tour
he will continue as Minister
of Music at the First Baptist
Church.
The “Continental Singers
with the Continental Brass”
is a presentation of Conti-
nental Ministries, Thousand
Oaks, California, with Cam
Floria, president.
The public is invited to this
free concert in the First Bap-
tist Auditorium, located at
317 West Ellison.
