Army Awareness
Month Proclaimed
f sS■■■■■■PH'
Army sergeants from the U.S. Army recruiting office in Cleburne were at the
Burleson City Council meeting Thursday night to receive a proclamation from
Mayor Scott Butler designating the month of August as Army Awareness Month.
They told Butler that the Army wanted to show that it was not made up of a bunch
of rejects who couldn't get a job elsewhere. During the month, free iron-ons are
available at the recruitment center and veterans can come in for a free armed
forces service flag.
