Thanks, Reader’s Digest
BY KIM RENFRO
Dear Reader’s Digest:
Thank you so much for notify-
ing me of my continuing good
fortune in vour sweepstakes. I've
never been in the "lucky category”
before but I’m really looking for-
ward to it.
May I pose just a few
questions?
What does one do when en-
tered into the "Lucky Category"
from which winners are drawn?
Should I go ahead arid spend the
$5,0(X),000 grand pri/e money, or
wait until I actually have the cash
in hand?
Will you be enclosing a
$5,000,000 Sweepstakes Win-
ner's list of do's and don’t's? I
don't want to break the delicate
rules to be followed as suggested
in "Sweepstakes Winners' En-
queue."
Is it rude to alread\ have m\
speech prepared tor the national
commericals well produce0 It
it’s not rude please read on and
let me know what \ou think

I used to throw sweepstakes
entries away, but not anymore,
no sir, now I am a believer. Just
look at some of the wonderful
things I've bought with my
winnings”

If for some reason the com
puter errs and I’m not selected
as the $5,000,000 winner in the
Reader’s Digest Sweepstakes, I’ll
graciously accept one of the
39,029 other prizes to be awar-
ded by an independent judging
agency Sweepstakes Director
Dorothy Williams promised she
will personnally notify me by let-
ter of my winnings.
Dorothy also promised il I
followed her instructions car-
efully she'll send me a certified
check for $1,000 to $167,000 or
the actual prize if it's under
$1,000 PLUS her letter of con-
gratulations if I am a winner. I
think that’s awful swell of her,
don't you?
She post scripted a note asking
if it would be OK to mention me
in advertisements it I’m a prize
winner. I answered “Yes, it will
be OK as long as I'm the $5,000,-
000 winner." I can t wait to get
her next letter
