and Micheal Jones, 20, also of Burleson. Care Fitted and listed in
serious condition at Harris Methodist Hospital was Lynn Camp An-

been taken to partialis address
the problem, he said
Bob Cosby was concerned
about the packaging of the bond
issues, particularly in the watei
and sewer improvements cate
gory. He said he felt water and
sewer line extensions were cru-
cial to the development of
Burleson to the south and that
these issues were more likely to
pass if included along with othet
projects of the water and sew-
er department.
Boone said that the question of
packaging had not been decided,
but explained further the Inuuk-
'ing complexities of these two pro-
jects when requested-to do mi
later by Mayor Pro Tent Bob
Johnson. The exact amount
needed by the city lot a south
Burleson water line or a Village
Creek sewer line cannot be deter-
mined at this time. The cost itself
will remain static, but there ;s
likely to be some financial par-
ticipation by propern iiwnen
prior to the bond election heme
officially called. Evcntuallv. the
entire cost of the project will be
borne by those who tie on to the
system, but some of 'he-o pro-
pert) owners mat choose to pas
these costs up front.”
If so, their cost will be less thui
if they were assessed a formula
cost ai a later date How eve:
much 'up front” munev is put up
for the project, the less monev
the city will have to come up with
initially. Property owners have
until Feb. 6 to put up the monev
under the lower formula which
preceeds construction of the
two projects.
NOT ONLY WILL A new area
be opened up tor commercial
and- industrial development, but
some existing residential areas
will have the opportunity to tie
onto Burleson sewer lines if the
projects are approved be voters
"The ultimate cost (of both pro-
jects) will be borne bv the people
who tie onto the system."
Boone said
File bond election will officially
be set at a special meeting
Feb 11
Besides the new pumper truck
and the facility improvements in-
cluded in the bond proposals, the
Burleson Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment was involved in two other

and appreciation for the work
per!oi mod by members of the
