Two-year-old Kevin and his big brother Chris Gilland are two bright
spots in the lives of Judy ana Johnny Gilland. But rrvpst other as-
pects recently have been pretty dismal for the Burleson family.
Through help from the BMAA, some of the difficulties have been
addressed, and more help may be on the way.
SUSAN REGISTER FROM
Congressman Joe Barton s ottiee
said that once a release state-
men! Irom Gilland has been
secured, thai oflice can research

some ot the "red tape' in the lor-
mer Marine's disabilitv claim
We handle a lot of these cases,"
she said Friday, "but sometimes
thev lake a little lime "
That’s understandable I sup-
pose when you think of ihe num-
bers ot service veterans in
difficult circumstances through-
out the county But tor two little
bovs who lived in Burleson, and
tor their parents —who wondered
lot a time where the next meal
was coming from —time was very
critical last week
Hu BM AA bought them a little
time In the process ol doing
that they also showed the
Gillands iha( they cared Some-
limes that's the most important
thing ot all.
