child*s dream come true
Make a child's dream come true
this Christmas by donating a gift for
the children at Odyssey Harbor.
Just one present under the tree
on Christmas momi ng is all it would
take to make a child realize that "it's j
all right to hope," that sometimes
dreams do come true.
Odyssey Harbor in Keene is a
non-profit residential treatment fa-
cility founded and operated by
Amine and Lazio Varga and licensed
by the Texas Department of Human
Services. Its program is designed for
the treatment of emotional, neuro-
logical, or psychiatric disturbances
in children ages 5 to 18—distur-
bances which have resulted from
physical and or sexual abuse and ne-
glect. As the name implies, itis a safe
haven in the stormy lives of children
who have suffered multiple rejec-
tions. The facility has been in
operation since 1983 and is
averaging 90 residents whose length
of stay is about 24 to 36 months.
They would welcome any type
of gift you would like to give, for
girls or boys ranging in age from S to
18 years. The school will wrap your
gift or you may choose to do so your-
self.
Gifts may be dropped off at Our
Place Restaurant in Burleson, or you
can arrange to have them picked up
by calling Jo at 645-5471 or 294-
0950.
