The pupils of the colored school
were entertained with a Christmas
program and tree in the colored school
building last Friday evening.
Mrs J. A. Wacker and little son of
Waggoner Okla. are here for the
holidays. The many friends of Mrs.
Wacker will be gladi to learn of her
improved health.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. W. II. Par-
sons Dec. 21 a ten-pound boy at the
home of Mrs. Parson's parents Mr.
and Mrs. Ad Heinsohn. Mr. and Mrs.
Parsons' home is in Midlothian.
Mrv and Mrs. Scott McGinnis of
Blair Okla. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Gor-
don of Austin and Miss Althea Lou
McGinnis of Jarrcll will arrive today
(Friday). to spend the holidays with
their parents Mr. and Mrs. W. Mc-
Ginnis. The many friends of Mrs. Fred
White will regret to learn of her ser-
ious illness. She is now in tho Kings
Daughters hospital. Don't forget her
durine these beautiful holidays that J
many of us are permitted to enjoy.
Noah (Squire) Shuults who has
been at Robstown for several months
is hero for tho holidays. "Squire"
will spend a few weeks here and then
return to Robstown where he has 48
aores in cabbage from which wo hope
he will realize substantially.
Mr. and Mrs. II. C. Server of Da-
vila left this week for Rule Texas
where thoy will make their future
home. The Tribune follows them and
wishes -thorn prosperity in their new
home.
One of the pleasant events of the
season was the dinner given iby the
Home Economics Club of tho High
School Tuesday evening to the board
of trustees and their wives Supt. and
Mrs. Howard and Prof and Mrs
The Baptist T. 13. L. Class met Fri-
day afternoon at 2:30 o'clock of last
week in the Sunday school room to
enjoy a Christmas party with Mrs
Dabbs Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Sawyer
as joint hostess.
Mrs. Wilson read a Christmas sto-
ry and tho class sang "Joy to the
World" after which Santa appeared
and distributed from a beautiful tree
presents to all the members of the
class and to the elder ladies of the
church. After Santa had gone the
hostess served delicious fruit cake
and coffee. A good time was had
by all present.
We want every member to come
and bring some one with you to Sun-
day school. Reporter.

most palatial home.
I am glad wo arq awakening to the
value of these boys in our town. Let's
band ourselves together and provide
for their needs. Let's show them we
too nre interested in them and appre-
ciate every effort they put forth in
our protection.
