Dear Editor,
I would like to thank Russell
Huffman and The Dublin Citizen
for covering the Dublin Lions dur-
ing the 92-93 season. It’s super that
with the budget constraints on a
small town paper you find the time
and space to give to Dublin High
School’s athletes in all sports.
Russell has done a great job. I
can’t imagine anyone having more
enthusiasm covering high school
sports than Russell Huffman. We
don’t even have to call him. He
comes by once a week to get all of
the latest stats and information.
He’s almost like part of the staff. If
I’m not around, he goes in the
dressing room, picks up the stats
book, and helps himself, 1 know
Russell works three jobs to make
ends meet, and I’m glad two of
them are involved with covering
high school sports.
Thanks again, Russell and The
Dublin Citizen.

To the playground assembly
experts of Dublin:
I would like to take a few
minutes to thank all of you who
helped assemble the playground
equipment at the park Saturday.
There were so many of you and I
know if 1 try to list everyone who
helped, I will forget or leave
someone's name off the list. In
short, if you were at the park
helping Saturday, please consider
this a “Thank You” for your time
and work.
1 personally enjoyed working
with a group of people with energy,
enthusiasm, creativity and laughter.
I am sure I have aLso left out some
of your other positive traits, and I
apologize for not mentioning them.
I wish the citizens of our com-
munity could have seen and
experienced your dedication to
completing this project. I also wish
that we could channel more of this
“can do” attitude into the many
projects that our community needs
to address. Again, thank you for
your dedication and hard work.
Sincerely,
Ken Jumey
Dear Editor,
The second edition of the newly
founded DUBLIN 1SD BI-
LINGUAL BULLETIN has been
published. Parents of all DISD
students should have received their
complementary copy of this dual-
language informational newsletter
recently through the regular mail
delivery system. If you are a parent
of a student currently enrolled in
Dublin 1SD and did not receive this
past issue, please contact Karol
Howell at 445-2577.
Words of special thanks should
be directed to all the individuals
who gave countless hours in the
writing, translating, typing, publish-
ing, assembling and mailing of this
most recent publication. Mrs. Effie
Leathcrwood’s computer classes,
Parent Action Committee members,
Ann Vaughn and her support staff,
and Amalia Sanchez dedicated their
efforts to make this latest issue a
success.
Dublin ISD would also like to
recognize The Dublin Citizen and
especially Karen Parham for the
guidance, support and expertise
needed to make this publication a
quality, professional product.
I feel certain that future newslet-
ters will reflect the same standard of
excellence established by these qua- •
lifted volunteers.
Sincerely,
