Tonya Braziel, daughter of Sammy and Linda Pierce of
DeLeon, and Steven Hamilton, son of kenuith and Nancy
Russell of Brownwood and Mark and Debra Hamilton of
Cisco, have announced their engagement and approaching
marriage on Sept. 5 in Gatlinlmrg, Tenn. They will live in
Dublin.
Senior Citizens

August 16 started another busy
week at the Center with art classes,
dominoes and quilters and Birdie
Courtney's birthday. Juanita Jones
had the program. Blood pressure
check on Tuesday and also blood
sugar test. Mike Vauthier had the
program
Laura Williamson had a birthday
on Wednesday and Lena Jewell had
the program. The singalong at
Dublin Nursing Center and the
dominoes and quilting are going
strong.
On die 20th, the Dale Cox band
will be on board for our regular
third Friday night dance in the
McCormick Room. Finger food will
be served for our break in the
dining room. Come join us Friday.
The 21st is bingo nite. Bring a
dish to enjoy a good time and lots
of food. Thanks again to all the
merchants who furnish the surpr-
ises. We appreciate them.
Our regular business meeting will
be at II a.m. Monday, Aug 23.
Hats off to a very special person
who makes sure everything is going
right for our dance on the first and
third week each month. That's Lena
Jewell. And to some other special
people too -- the McPhersons who
fix the punch and see that the
kitchen is in order and to Laura
Williamson who has a smile lor
everyone who signs in tor the
dance. And to all the extras who
help out at each dance, without you
it wouldn’t lie the same. And b ,i
here to you, I want to say thank
you. You are very important in all
the things that make people want to
visit our Center.

point ratio out of a possible 3.0,
during the most recent grading
period. Cannon is the son of Mr
and Mrs B R. Cannon of Dublin

It’s a girl!
C’raige and Jay Means of Dublin
announce the birth of Annie Lane
Means who arrived July 31 at
Harris Methodist Fort Worth
She was 21 inches long and
weighed 8 lb. 11 1/2 oz.
Maternal grandparents are Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Lane of Marfa. Pater-
nal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Alt Means of Valentine.
Annie was welcomed home by
two brothers, Sam and Jeff.

Bill and Vickie Bamber announce
the birth of their son, Levi Newton
who was bom Aug. 11 at De Leon
Hospital.
He weighed 6 lb. 5.5 oz. and was
18 in. long.
He was welcomed home by sis-
ters Heather Rose and Kayla Diane.
Joy IKAiiii While and Carl Leon Welch, Jr., both of
Dublin, announce their engagement and approaching
marriage at 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at First Baptist Church of
Dublin. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mrs. Martha
White and the late John L. White of Dublin. She is a 1985
graduate of Pflugerville High School, and a 1990 graduate
of Tarleton State University with a degree in home
economics. She is administrator of Steplienville Nursing
Home. Welch is a 1978 graduate of Sidney High School
and is employed by the Dr Pepper Bottling Co. Friends
and relatives are invited to the wedding.
