Pat Jones, executive director of the TriCounty Agribusiness
Association, recently presented a check to Donna Barnes for Dublin
High School's drug and alcohol-free Graduation Celebration, the
all-night party which follows graduation. TriCounty Agribusiness
Association is a non-profit organization which promotes agribusi-
ness in Erath, Comanche and Hamilton counties. The association
sponsors the annual Texas Dairy and Farm Show as well as other
events and activities.
Free Southern gospel concert
to raise hinds for Countryside
A five Southern gospel music
conceit, benefiting Countryside
Baptist Church of Alexander, will
be performed at the Dublin High
School auditorium at 7 p.m. Satur-
day, May 3.
Special music will be performed
by Christy Whiteley of Dublin who
is a member of Countryside
Church.
Two quartets and a family group
will perform also. The Hampton
family from Fort Worth has been
singing since the late 1960s. The
Revelation Singers from Watauga
sing old hymns. The Weidel family
from Mansfield features the talents
of young and old members.
A love offering will be taken at
the door to help clear some re-
maining financial obligations in-
curred when the church moved to
Alexander.
The church was formed in Dub-
lin in 1947 under the name of
Southside Bible Baptist Church.
